It's possible, but they'd look even better by going on a mission and not tanking it. Rag's play would seem to implicate one of Neo or Mown. I'm not prepared to say which is more likely, because both of them disliked the team after I did.

VOTE: REJECT TEAM

Official. Final answer.

I want to see teams without these three up next.

I, by principle, reject every team without me day 1.

@razor - Will you be doing the same table tracking the votes you did for the last Resistance game?

sure. some of the data was for strategy purposes and I'll leave that out, but the raw who-voted-what and did-it-succeed stuff? yeah I can do that.

As of right now, I'm leaning towards a team of SE and myself.
Course, that might change, based on the votes from the first mission...so, we'll see

Neo, please select a team. you have 48 hours.

note that the order on the table is the nominating order and has no basis in who voted what or whose alignment is what. I just had to put them in some order.

You guys are so boring.
Imagine if that mission actually failed, game would be so much easier.

Is there a reason for that?

I'd like to see Rag/Neo/Mown not on this mission, but then I've said that before.

Is there a reason for that we should know about?

Oh, you gave a reason earlier.

That said, why are you operating under the assumption that rag is a spy?

Rag took no time to submit a starting team. That's fine, with no data you might as well use a dartboard. But then, again with no data he didn't add himself to the team. The possible roles in this game as per the first post are

1) Bear-puncher. Knows nothing other than that they are themselves a bear-puncher. Without any other circumstances, should put themselves on the team as that leaves only one unknown slot
2) Cult Leader. Knows what players are Nihilist spies, but NOT the assassin, and so should include themselves to minimize the chance of including the assassin.
3) Keeper of Records. Knows what player is the Cult Leader. Can guarentee a passed two-man mission by going on it with the Cult Leader, but otherwise risks the mission tanking
4) Nihilist Spy. Knows other nihilist spies (but not the assassin? Or not which Nihilist is the assassin? OP is unclear on this). Can safely put a different spy on the mission knowing the nihilist agenda will still be carried out
5) Nihilist Assassin. I don't really get how this role works. If they know who the spies are, same analysis as a spy. If they don't, same as a Bear-puncher, but for team evil

It only makes sense for the leader of the first mission to disinclude him/herself if said leader is scum. I guess there could be some corner case where one of the informed townies wants to risk the mission on potentially getting the last bit(s) of data on the nihilists, or outright outing one of them, but that seems less likely than there being a scum-aligned leader.

Therefore, in my analysis, Rag is more likely than blind chance to be scum, and there is more likely than blind chance to be a scum between Neo and Mown.

Therefore, I'd rather not see Rag, Neo, or Mown on a mission right now.

why wouldn't scum send a team mate instead of themselves?

That seems fair enough, but I'd be hesitant to make any strong conclusions based on that.

Just posting this as a reminder. If we can identify a group of 3 town players right off the bat, we could win this whole thing without dropping a round.
