there. I delete-reserved the first 19 posts. I suspect I'll only need 13 but better safe than sorry right

Hyped for this.

I mean, you already know most of it. I'll probably dive into more detail but the major premises will be the same as they were in YMtC, just polished up.

first bit done! admittedly by far the shortest bit, but there is now a brief mission-statement summary of Ossia if anyone's interested. it's basically the original thread, but I fixed it up and addressed some concerns expressed there, including a brief mention of why this waterworld took so long to figure out boats. (basically, death.)

did a write-up of Qelan, the Isle of Winds, home to Ossia's Djinn. I decided to write from scratch instead of copy-pasting, because as an additively-created process there were some retcons and contradictions along the way that I wanted to smooth out. the last paragraph mentions a couple things that you haven't been exposed to yet but don't worry those will be explained.

I like how the ruthless mercenary assassin is now the most unambiguously good character in Qelan.

Those are some nice sigils. Hats off to the artist.

What distinguishes your Lizards from the viashino?

all credit for those goes to CKY. wait 'til you see the rest of them.

What distinguishes your Lizards from the viashino?
aesthetically, they're less spiky, and more like monitors than aligators or dinosaurs. culturally, they lack the intrinsic violence that so pervades the various viashinos we've met.

I like this world from the get-go. Mostly-covered-by-water archipelago worlds are my favourite.

Just read Qelan's entry. Violent is the best.

finished up Kemil's. not in time for Luna to use it to judge that story, but hey I tried. and as I expected these are trending longer and longer as I go... which is why I'm doing them in a random order, so that way I don't always do the same ones first and everyone gets the last-post love sometimes. anyway, I told you this would get done, and despite mounting evidence to the contrary, it totally will I promise.

like 90% of my motivation in doing these is justifying showcasing the large versions of the watermarks.

finally got back to this and did one for Milor. it was half-finished but I finished it. it's longer than normal because Milor is bizarre but hopefully it gives you an idea of the role the Worldkin serve in Ossia if anyone's reading this.

So a living mass of gold is responsible for the impending doomsday of the plane? This sounds familiar...

I feel like there are more responsible parties, but yeah the Hand of Gold sure isn't helping.

did a write-up of Epala, it's shorter than the others but I don't think I missed anything important, although CKY can check me on that and probably will.
