We did it! We have a front page, with articles and everything. You can find it at front.nogoblinsallowed.com. It'll also probably be taking over the domain nogoblinsallowed.com, but that decision isn't finalized yet. We're working out a couple aesthetic kinks and there's bound to be some programming issues, but it exists and I think that's pretty great. Here's to a new chapter in NGA history, two years in the making!

We also have a shiny new Article Discussion forum to discuss the articles. The name kinda gives that away, doesn't it?

The color scheme is based on the Dark Grey theme, by far the most commonly used one. It would've been nice to be able to make it so everyone could see it themed with their own settings, but it's a completely different system so we can't really track that over.

This is way cool. Do you think we should have some fancy art in the background or a nice logo to spruce the front page up?

That is definitely something we would like. We ran out of time so we went with the simple aesthetic we already had available, but going forward we absolutely want to get some graphics and the like up as well.

Are we allowed to use official art in the background because if so I can Photoshop some nice stuff. Some dnd and magic and other stuff maybe?


If I make something you may want consider tweaking the color scheme to fit it better although I would try and get something that fits with what you have.

we might be able to since we're not profiting off it, but it'd probably be cooler to use NGAC stuff anyway.

Well I'm only good at non digital art, abstract and Photoshop so I can't help too much with that.

can't you photoshop the NGAC art just like the official art?

I think having magic and dnd alongside the NGAC art is important too.

I'm all in favor of supporting the rest I'm just worried about using copyrighted images.

I would avoid using copyrighted images. Honestly, I think we should use our own, resh logo that is somewhat imitative of the themes of M:tG and D&D, possibly with some NGAC elements. The question is who can draw one up.

On a mobile device it took me awhile to figure out how to get from the front page to the forums, which seems like something worth fixing.

I know the look has already been mentioned but I just want to reiterate that it looks like Barney the dinosaur threw up a bunch of ashtrays.

If your issue is the color scheme, allow me to reiterate that we have theme usage data, and the color scheme is exactly matched to Dark Grey, which is by far our most commonly used theme. This is of course affected by the fact that it's the default, but it shows that most people are fine with it and a small but vocal minority bothered to switch to something else. If your issue is something else, please elaborate.
