Call the Scions
Eyeless Watcher
Unnatural Aggression
Lifespring Druid
Natural Connection
Jaddi Offshoot
Swell of Growth

That's 7. Hard to sort out the ramp things. I think offshoot is good, but I am not sure.

Not even counting the landfall guys. I think that they made green extra deep because everyone will want to ramp.

Jaddi Offshoot's uncommon.

Lifespring Druid
Snapping Gnarlid
Swell of Growth
Eyeless Watcher
Natural Connection

Green doesn't feel that deep to me, actually. You have to go ramp, and even that doesn't seem that strong. Not that there's much decent removal to punish you for taking your time, but red is pretty efficient in this set.

Then again, I didn't play the original ROE and I'm probably grossly underestimating the variety of ramp targets.

Oran-Rief Invoker
Territorial Baloth
Swell of Growth
Lifespring Druid
Broodhunter Wurm

This time around, I don't like the fight spell very much. Mostly because green fatties are notably absent. If you go for Eldrazi, fine. Also fine with Baloth in play. But early, no thank you. And that makes it worse than the five above for me.

Tarjuru Beastmaster seems powerful. I'm a fan of unnatural aggression. I think both are better than a 4 mana 4/3.

Green seems like one of the more aggro colors in the set.

Snapping Gnarlid and Swell of Growth are two of the best especially cause there's not that many fast aggro cards in the set, people aren't prepared for such a beatdown. Tajuru Stalwart is also aggressive and an ally. This isn't gonna get me any LSV points is it?

Lifespring Druid even though it can't block anything cause it's the only good mana fixing in the set.

And call the scions because duh

Spoiler

Green/X landfall is being hinted at with 2 insta ways to put lands in, so maybe i should just value land fall creatures high

After playing a little bit, power level here is very flat. Green is almost pure synergy - with the scion/ramp cards and the ally/landfall beat down cards.
None of these cards are "B" -- pull me into the color, my pick will depend on what else is going on. The generic 4 drops often get cut, even though they are very reasonable cards. Seek and Earthen arms are pretty bad, and I think Reclaiming Vines is pure sideboard.

Strangely i pretty much agree with this 100%, But how does one not 1st pick From Beyond
and if your seat is green . i guess you stomach up and try to make something happen, Pick 8 Unnatural Aggression and Lifespring druid are about where i'll take a hint

What's wrong with Seek?

The same thing that was wrong with all the other cards that have this effect but don't have any other synergy. It is a waste of mana and a card.

Basically, if I want scions to ramp or sac I am going green. Otherwise, it's a secondary color. I think RG landfall is probably decent, but the only common green landfall card is swell of growth.

Or, if I head down 4-5 colors I will need to have a bunch of green fixing.

You don't want Scions for acceleration. At least, not as primary plan. You want good old-fashioned land search. Because bounce is a real threat, as is Smite, and Scions are creatures in their own right. They attack and block. You don't want to wipe your board to cast a monster, just to have it die right away.

I would like to draft a RG landfall-ramp-into-Eldrazi deck sometime. Even though pure landfall is probably just better.

That seems very all in. Land search cards don't do anything.

Oh but they do. They trigger landfall, and at instant speed. And they accelerate/fix. Almost a two-for-one :)

Look at it this way. A landfall deck really wants to hit its land drops. Which means it will have a lot of mana in play. And when landfallers die or are outclassed, they should have an Eldrazi top end. Nothing new here, except for the fact that instant-speed, put-into-play land search does double duty as a combat trick.

But why are you ramping in your aggro landfall deck?

Because the landfall creatures are just mediocre if you don't hit the land drops. So you should do two things every turn: play a land, and play a critter. And if you play a land every turn, you might as well include a top-end finisher or two.

I must admit I have yet to see the landfall deck really work. There are a lot of big butts in the format. I do think that Unnatural Aggression is a reasonable combat trick (although not cheap).
