I'm kinda indifferent about Numbers. Kinda in the sense that I don't really have an absolute opinion on voting for him or leaving him alone given the topic. I'm sure he wouldn't just count on the kindness of others to leave him alone once he revealed the information he did as opposed to keeping it to himself.

Aside from that, I got nothing else. I'm not particularly keen on the semantics of what constitutes being called a survivor.

I'll be up for a random lynching once we reach the deadline point of the day.

Well, we aren't going to reach that point today, KoD. :teach:

I responded to pseudonym. Of course I've just been operating under the assumption it's Niklor since he's been all about my **** this game. :shifty:

If I was pseudonym, I don't see why I would stick my neck out so far as to try to contact you through my own account as well.

I find it mildly surprising that I would be the only one to be trying to contact you, but maybe not everyone is quite so excited by all these potential networking opportunities, all the scheming and searching that lies slightly below the surface of this town.

I know that you and pseudonym are the only ones to contact me so far. Pseudonym said there is a faction that is an idiom, you asked to blatantly tell you and said you probably won't share your own. I didn't respond to either PM, because neither seemed like it would net me any information and only make me a target by having less information than the other players.

With no voting today, and night abilities coming soon, I can't really see any reason to start handing out information that will probably only end in a handicap for myself.

You know you can open up a line of dialogue and not just hand me the information because that is what I requested. I mean, I'd be fine if you did tell me your faction, but I didn't expect you to just tell me outright.

@Nik, what gives you the impression you're the only person to contact me?

Well, I was basing it off this.

But it seems likely you might have been talking about the fact I am interested in lynching you and I just misread and made assumptions.

But if you aren't pseudonym then it's in the premise that you're not the only person to have contacted me. Therefore I can only conclude that you are indeed pseudonym.

For some reason it didn't occur to me to count Sudo. If you want to think I am, go ahead. I don't think it matters too much besides giving some extra cover for Sudo to hide within. And for all I know, that may end up benefiting me and mine.

@Nik:

About your comment to me. Am I to assume that you believe Numbers will be this day's lynch before we reach deadline?

There's no lynch today KoD, that's what he's getting at.

Ok, I skimmed over Cato's post and saw what I missed concerning every day but the first for lynches.

So people are busy using their abilities today to gather information.

This is certainly the strangest Day 1 I've ever been a part of. I dunno how I am even to find my faction without painting some giant bullseye on the faction. It's interesting, but I have no clue what I'll be doing this game.

You could always try painting a small target and hope no one notices it. And even if they do notice it as long as it is small they hopefully won't hit it.

I'm still something of a novice to Mafia games in general, so the minute details that others catch, I miss. In a format where it's not Town vs Scum, but unknown factions, I feel even more lost because there lacks the beginning where the majority are town. Right now, I have to function on the assumption that there is a high provability that my faction has 4 or fewer players in it, and that I'm possibly 100% alone. This is a really tough beginning feature for me, because that leaves no one to trust. I have thought of a few things I could do.

(1) I could claim my faction and hope others of my faction PM me so we can begin forming an alliance in secret. Of course, this has the massive drawback of others deceiving me and PM-ing that they are in my faction looking for more information, and then turning around and lynching me. So, it's not a good option.

(2) I could respond to the PMs and hope. This carries the same issue as Option 1, in that I may get non-truthful answers, or even worse, I'm just giving out information that will eventually cause my demise without getting any information to help me and my faction.

(3) I sit in the background and get called an "active lurker" since I'm not actively doing anything to figure out the puzzle, but that's no good either. I mean, all I can really wait on is a Lynch or Night Kill and hope that some new information helps me figure out the factions. Still, I'm a bit at a loss.

So with all that said, I dunno where to go from here except keep an eye on the thread and see how it develops.

With PM's and stuff, I think we can't really call someone a lurker in this game. He can always claim that he's playing through PM's and all that.
