New and improved decklist:

4 x Golgari Guildgate
2 x Woodland Cemetery
4 x Evolving Wilds
7 x Forest
6 x Swamp

4 x Perilous Myr
4 x Gatecreeper Vine
3 x Reave Soul
1 x Shadows of the Past
2 x Evolutionary Leap
3 x Fleshbag Marauder
1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
1 x Liliana, Heretical Sage
3 x Reclamation Sage
3 x Bitter Revelation
2 x Languish
3 x Gravedigger
1 x Gilt-Leaf Winnower
3 x Cruel Revival
1 x Woodland Bellower
2 x Gaea's Revenge

Changed a few cards based upon watching Hakeem and some experiences online.

Took out the Necromatic Summons and replaced with the Shadows of the Past and the 2nd Gaea's Revenge. Found wanting a threat most of the time when I had it and not finding what I needed/wanted in the graveyards. Gaea's closes out games so was a no-brainer as I usually want it about mid-game. I missed Shadows when I took it out and decided it needed to come back for the lifegain alone (and it has won me 2 games since its return).

Took out the Elvish Visionary and replaced with Bitter Revelation. I always want something other than the Visionary when I draw it and I saw how good Bitter Rev was for Hakeem, so it was a 3-for-3 trade. Love going down 4 cards, worth the 2 life. Don't miss the Visionary.

My last maybe card is the Gilt-Leaf Winnower. Usually kills a creature, has limited evasion. Thinking about replacing with Conclave Naturalists since certain enchantments are pretty boss, and it would help against IzzitThopters (the flying gives me issues sometimes. Also, I was thinking about adding Bone Splinters back in. Thoughts?

You know, Necromantic Summons is awesome tech vs blue based control decks to put a 10/7 haste hexproof on the board after your deck got munched by ..... Oh wait nvm 3 enchantment hate dorks and evolpea deck.

Who needs variety ?

Sorry btw, just ranting, nice list.

I'm starting to get more convinced Winnower is worth it since the body is really pretty strong after all... I like Priest of the bloodrite alot too. It's basic weakness is disperse, but WHO CARES ABOUT BLUE CONTROL.

Personally think 3 gravedigger is a bit much, but it's really a minor thing. Maybe go -1 reave soul - 1 digger + 2 Bonesplinter ? Lowers the curve a bit, and you are already pretty greedy on the lands :p

Good list, I'm liking this. Very close to what I have already. I will give it a run like this and give ya feedback.

LOLz...yeah, I've been running the enchantment hate dorks since day one. They've been good to me. :D

I started the land at 24 but I got flooded too often. 23 has been pretty consistently good for me. The Evolving Wilds might thin the deck out too much towards the end, but so far in about 15 games it hasn't been an issue (no more than normal).

The Gravediggers are for stupid graveyard tricks and have been pretty good. I might try and change 1 out but I don't want the lifeloss issue from the Priest of the Blood Rites. Hmmm...decisions, decisions.

Eagerly awaiting your thoughts, Locke.

You'd best get busy, Yalldaball...she's one up on you!

Seriously though, she's on a plane. A jet plane. Flying across the Pacific. With little access to the internet.

That gives her hours to fill your inbox with technically irrelevant post.

Interesting blend. Not bad, but I felt like I had more removal in my hand than was needed. Mana was never a problem though. Played 5 games and went 3-2. Most of the time I was sitting without stuff to do because I had a much of removal and hadn't drawn creatures. I felt Winnover was under performing, but that was 5 games also.

5 games can contain too much variance you really want at the very least 10 games to test just a fyi

Thoughts on what to keep/remove? I am a durdler to the 10th power and don't mind a handful of removal, but it might be better to place more threats. Although the creature count is around 24 for the deck, so not sure if that's the right way to go.

Well, I would cut Bitter Revelation for Elven Visionary. You get a card, blocker you can sac, and don't lose 2 life. Maybe 1-2 Gravediggers for Necromanic Summons. Pulling an enemy GR to swing ftw is awesome! And E-Titan would be another threat.

Funny, I cut the Visionaries for the Better Revelations! I didn't like drawing them later in the game and didn't really need them (plus I seem to not be able to draw the EvoLeap, for better or worse). I feel like going 4 cards deep for 4 mana and 2 life a good deal in this meta.
I got rid of the Necromatic Summons since the majority of decks I've been playing against don't have anything worth stealing most of the game (if not all) and I have other means of bringing back my own threats, which I may need to find more of.

Thanks for the time and suggestions. I will look back again at the Summons, it might be that it should be in. Pretty sure I'll keep the Revelations, they've been working out like Dwayne Johnson. Also, looking for another threat vector.

I'd do a singleton of Summons and Titan. Great combo and makes it hard for them to pull graveyard combos without giving your threat back. Visionary works great with Lilly too. Bring it back, draw card, sac to Evolpea.

Alright, done some updates to the list Beast and I built. Saw things also in Kryder's list as well as Blue's that made me rethink my decisions. It's running smooth atm with singletons to handle various threats.

So here is the list I am running:

4 x Perilous Myr
4 x Gatecreeper Vine
4 x Elvish Visionary
1 x Shadows Of The Past
2 x Evolutionary Leap
3 x Reave Soul
1 x Liliana, Heretical Healer
3 x Fleshbag Marauder
1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
2 x Reclamation Sage
1 x Erebo's Titan
2 x Gravedigger
2 x Languish
1 x Glit-Leaf Winnover
1 x Outland Colossus
2 x Cruel Revival
1 x Necromatic Summons
1 x Woodland Bellower
1 x Gaea's Revenge
6 x Swamp
6 x Forest
2 x Woodland Cemetery
1 x Rogue's Passage
4 x Golgari Guildgates
4 x Evolving Wilds

So here is my update after tinkering a bit. I am sorry I doubted Winnover. Finally saw it preform and it is a beast. I am joining the hate train with a singleton of Sage. Will keep this updated as I streamline.

Choo choo!

You'll find that you will want more of the Sage...most games she's like a targetable removal spell.

I can sac it and use Gravediggers, Lilly, and Summons to replay it. I haven't run into a terrible need for it, but it's an easy find via Bellower.

Also calling it Evolpea Control.

Updated my list, small change. Took out a swamp, added another Sage.

I am trying your most recent deck out, Lockhammer, but with a couple small changes:

-1 Perilous Myr
-1 Gatecreeper Vine
-1 Elvish Visionary
-1 Outland Colossus
+1 Graveblade Marauder
+1 Gravedigger
+1 Bitter Revelation
+1 Cruel Revival

I think this gives a bit more card advantage without sacrificing too much early ramp/defense, and the Graveblade instead of the 4th Myr gives you another alternate win condition later on. Keeping the Colossus and taking out a Cruel Revival or a Gravedigger could be ok as well, or you could reasonably trade one of them for a second Bitter Revelation. So far I've had some good success, but this isn't really very much of a departure from the better Golgari Control decks I've seen posted here so I'm not surprised.

Not a fan of those changes and here is why.

Myr is removal. You sac it and can drop any early threat on the board. Worst case, you trade a creature for 3.

Vine is mana fixing. There are 23 cards in the deck and the reason I have been able to safely pull out BBB and GG is that card. You can not only fetch land, you can also get gates. It is our primary target for Evolpea. This is how we get to our bombs.

Visionary is card advantage. I have been consistently 20 cards ahead of my opponent and this card aids to that. It is also another way we get our bombs.

Colossus is scary. It is a threat the moment it hits the board. It is not needing 20 creatures in the graveyard to be scary, it just is for 5 mana. And survives Languish.

Graveblade is an okay card, just doesn't feel right in this build. Dying to Languish alone is reason for me not to play it here. I already have 2 Gravediggers that work with Cruel Revival. I swapped the third for Necromatic Summons for better synergy with Erebo. Bitter Revelation is pointless as I am already -20- cards ahead of my opponent by winning the match. That is just giving your opponent 2 life. Cruel Revival is great, which is why I run two. Keep in mind however I have the following as removal too: 4 Myr, 3 Reave Soul, 3 Fleshbag, 2 Sages, 2 Languish, 1 Winnower, 2 Revivals, and a partridge in a pear tree. That is a LOT of removal. Adding another Revival just seems too much for how I'm running the deck.
