Yeah, I said it. I guess some people bitched and moaned loud enough for them to not include chat because of abuse or whatever, but this is getting ridiculous. It's to the point I don't even care to play out games anymore. I can't tell my opponent good job, I can't talk to them, I can barely play 2HG, and the whole affair is just soulless at this point. I didn't mind a little trash talking here and there. It made the games interesting. It made me want to win.

I might as well be playing AI right now. The game is just getting boring. I have no idea why anyone would take all communication out of the game, but it was a seriously horrible idea. What do you people think? Do you like your Magic completely void of conversation? I think it completely sucks.

Don't even get me started on how much 2HG is affected by not being able to type simple messages. The game is just not the same without chat nevermind gold in a F2P grind. We had better be getting some serious patches in the coming months to improve this game. I really hope the company is taking the criticism to heart and looking to improve the game.

OH YES! Just had this very frustrating loss in 2HG involving a partner that cast Chandra ASAP while I was the only one who could protect her. Not only that, he used her ability IN THE FIRST MAIN PHASE! To top it all off, when he finally could flip her, he didn't. Then when he did, he first killed off something small so he didn't have mana for that anymore. Next turn, before I get the chance to do something, he casts Chandra's Ignition on Kothophed, Soul Hoarder, making chandra flip and triggering Kothophed, Soul Hoarder's ability 9 times....while we had 9 life left.....

Yeah new cards every couple of months aren't going to fix the soullessness as you put it.

I just made a thread over the steam forums about this, and you'd be surprised how many people defend having no chat - just because they don't want it, no one else should.

It isn't just for 2hg purposes, 1v1 games become so sterile with no communication.

And the lack of lobby destroys a chance at rematches, so wins mean even less. Games are more akin to drive by shootings rather than a few matches against someone you can chat to, like playing chess in the park.

Best memories I have of all of DOTP franchise, looking back, are those times I played multiple games against the same people, chatting and having a great time. I haven't had something even close to that feeling here.

It is indeed frustrating that the only way of communicating you possibly have is using battle phase, the timer or cards that target stuff but can be canceled. In the hopes of getting the message through via insinuation.

Why play with scabs? Form connections, makes unions, take back 2HG and dominate it in the Co-Mill Application it should be!

Would be easier if inviting friends wouldn't pit you against each other 50% of the time. Yes, without lobbies you randomly get put into any team. Will you be with your friend or some random noob? Trust that the game will decide

i gotta say, i have played some intense and very close matches with my Grixis Control deck, and part of the fun of long, drawn-out matches like that where advantage goes up and down and back and forth is bantering with your opponent about how crazy it is. and, of course, ultimately typing in "GG" when you've finally locked in the win. i miss that, i really do, and i know i'm not the only one.

But.. I thought Steam Magic was the most awesome awesomeness that was ever awesome and everything else was chit?

Anyway, I just had some really close games where a lot of thinking and precise moves were needed for either me or my opponent to win and I would have loved to at least say "gg" and "wp" afterwards. Apart from that I don't really mind having a chat or not. I haven't played 2HG yet though, I can see how big of a problem that would be there.

I'd assume because the part of the body your referring to is in fact the anus. A-Hole is a curse not a part of the body - therefore it gets blocked. Though since it's also a type of donkey you should probably get away with using it in that regard. Also if it annoys you that much just use arse. It's a better word anyway.
