Umm, as a person, he's quiet around those he knows, and nearly silent around strangers unless he needs to say something. He doesn't get frightened easy, and enjoys reading quite a bit. Here are my guesses. Mown can probably tell if I've got the right idea of it.

"enjoys reading quite a bit." Minimum 3 Brains. Possibly +Remember
"He can take a punch okay since he's used to being picked on" Minimum 3 Guts
"but can't toss a decent punch to save his life." No ranks in Punch/Kick. Possibly lower Hands/Feet

I'd guess Face 2, Brains 4 (+ Remember), Hands 2, Guts 4 (+ Courage), Feet 3
You'd have 12 points to associate with your non-creepy skills. After sinking some into Courage and Remember you could use the rest to bolster elements of Hands or Face your character would be better-than-stat in, define hobbies, and so forth.

S_E, do you want to talk about it over steam or something? Just giving you a bunch of stats kind of runs contrary to my moral values. Or something. And it would let me have a quicker back-and-forth.

You will probably find good reasons to defend sooner or later, especially if you have numerical advantage (in terms of combatants). People who want to deal a lot of damage typically want Gnarly as well, which reduces their dice pool, making it more lucrative to defend. But that is getting off track a bit.

I mainly want to play a kid who's shy and awkward and constantly terrified of the people around him, including his friends, and that seemed like the best power to supplement that character.

Okay, so, I talked with squinty a bit back, and I'm done with my exam, so I suppose I should do a gear shift so we can get this ready. If anyone has any questions, now is a good time.
I'd also like to reiterate that I'd prefer if you could sort of converge towards some sort of age, although it's not strictly speaking necessary. There's a school in Candlewick which you presumably will attend, and while classes are truncated to some extent, there are limits to what can be considered reasonable. You don't have to all be in the same class, but it means the party will be split under such occasions (which I find to be less of an issue in PBP, but is nevertheless something to consider if you aren't strongly attached to any specific age).
I'm also going to assume that you are all from the same orphanage and acquainted with each other, but not overly familiar, unless otherwise desired.

I don't quite know why I am doing this, but me and S_E reached a conclusion on something like this stat-wise:
Feet 2 (P.E. +1)
Guts 4 (Wind +3, Courage +2)
Hands 2
Face 4 (Connive +2, Putdown +1)
Brains 3 (Notice +2, Remember +1)

He wanted the ability to Summon Creepy Crawlies, Speak to them, and Inflict Diseases. I would probably choose them as such:
Face — Warped Tongue 0d (Useful: Summon creeps; Useful: Speak to and command creeps; 2×Awesome)

And one of the following:
Body — Strange Odour 2d (Attacks; Useful: Inflict diseases; Immunity: Diseases)
Face — Toxic Breath 2d (Attacks; Useful: Inflict diseases; Splash)

I'm partial towards the breath, but there are arguments against putting all your eggs in the same basket.
And well, you can customize as you see fit. I put double Awesome in Warped Tongue so you can reliably use it, it seems like the kind of ability where you don't really need a huge dice pool.

And for Echoes, just write whatever strikes your fancy, although it should be something you both want to and reasonably could invoke or introduce into the game.

Well, time to reveal my literary skills. I end up trying way too hard to sound smart, and then I get really anxious that it all seems pretentious.
I'm going to reserve the first post for quick access to handy information, mostly character descriptions from the book, because that sounds convenient. Anyway, you should be free to post now. I have to set up your character sheets soon though. Remind me to put an XP field somewhere as well, now that I think of it. That said, I'm going to give you some guidelines.

1) Feel free to edit your post to select which "set" from your dice roll. I'd prefer you keep the rolls in spoiler blocks though.
2) Try to use your Echoes, for your own sake.
3) Be proactive. The beginning is mostly exploration centric, and I don't really have any major plots myself, so I'm going to see if something unfolds as we play. I'll try and nudge along something if nothing of interest happens though.
4) I'm as newb to this as you all are, if not more. I'd really appreciate if you want to give me some feedback (in PMs or the ooc thread) whenever I screw up (or do something amazing?), although I might be inclined to argue.

I'm not really a stickler for keeping ooc stuff in a separate thread as long as you are able to properly separate them, although I'll make one still. I'd appreciate if you keep things you want responses on there though, like rules questions.
