And yes, Altimis, hammering yourself as town is the worst possible move to make there. Lynching JD would have led me to a JaC lynch 100%, and then we could have gone from there to hope that we get it right in lylo if I would have picked up on JaC's shenanigans.

If I was alive of course.

JD was less useful town than yourself anyway, especially this last day -_-.

I'm tempted to just start policy lynching JD every game.

As you may have seen in the mafia chat, you were the one I was worried about the most in the end game.
There was a big possibility I would kill you if Shock was lynched today.

Because a similar case against Shock was easily fabricated (see my response to his 'case' against me, and I sorta replied to this as well with your question about explaining how Lilan could be scum), it would not be that hard to have hopped on him this day. Kill you, and then all that was left was convincing squinty to vote JD, or come with the babyface theory. With 3 power roles dead, and 2 normal goons. That would be incredibly plausible.

Just read the dead chat.

Sorry Altimis. Hope you're not too badly crushed.

I am...
I should've trusted my gut, because I was supicious of you from day 2. I didn't get suspicious of shockwave until late day 3, and day 4 numbers stole your spotlight.

I should have just stayed with my shockwave vote regardless (remember when I pointed out I don't usually swap votes for people being like numbers, I should have followed that), because there was already two people on him, and because I made that rule for a reason.

I'm still curious as to why numbers was so vehement in his defense of shockwave, even when he wasn't using actual facts. Not that he was lying, but that he was mistaken in a lot of his posts and that really screwed me up and apparently town as well.

I still disagree.
Knowing what I knew, I knew that that information wouldn't be trusted until people knew I was town. Even if people thought I was town, they wouldn't know exactly.
This way, they know that I'm not trying to mislead them. I'm not necessarily right, but I'm not lying or trying to hide anything.

That and it was very frustrating the way numbers was acting. If we did lynch numbers instead of me, I believe I would have been lynched day 5 and the same result would have happened.

needless to say, I should've stuck with my vote against shockwave. That chews me up.

Explain the Hypnotist role. I'm not sure how it works.

@Altimis: I want to get 15377's version of it, but from my point of view he was more attacking your bad choices in first his Derp Lylo, and then after for trying to tie him and me together.

@Dragoon Kain: Thanks.

Sorry about pushing a lynch on you though, it was just a case of 'well we should probably lynch SOMEBODY, and I can't get a good read off of him' for me.

On the plus side, it would've gotten him lynched if Squinty wasn't so vehement against a (playing poorly) JD, because I took your words a lot more seriously after you flipped town.

Overall though, this was one of the more enjoyable games of mafia I've played in a while.

It was immensely fun!
As I mentioned in the dead thread, I think next time it would be nice to know ahead of time what roles are possible, and what roles are not possible. That way more experienced players won't waste too much time over thinking the game, and the less experienced players won't have to worry about what they don't know.

I disagree. With an Alt town flip, it was apparent that one of you and shock was scum, and that one of JaC and Squinty was scum. By voiding the day of JaC vs Jay, I opened up the floor for you, shock, and Squinty to have to talk and reads would have been better made from there, as it took away any hiding that could have been done behind the post war that would have ensued. The only issue that arose from this play was the rest of the town deciding that putting in any effort during LyLo wasn't a good move for them. As I said during day, town deserved this loss. Even you, Fred-bro, as your proclamation that JaC was clear because Alt flipped town was truly a poor conclusion.

@Alt, open format games do make an appearance now and again. Especially on a beginner format. Sometimes they vary between straight open (telling you exactly what roles are being used in the game) and modified open (where you are given a list of possible roles, only some of which are used).

What you dont know is the fun part! Ask anyone who was a part of ghost mafia. :shifty:

So, anyone want to start the next game?

I could GM another I suppose, but I will have zero fluff and just be straight up "this is your role, go play"

Thats pretty much what it would be for me if i did another similar game. I could do a Bleach 1.5, or another game with Mt:G based roles, but not much fluff either way.

It's not like we used much of any fluff on this game, to be fair. Well, as far as the actual gameplay went.
