Title: Taramir: The Dark Tide
Designer: chinkeeyong
Status: Public

This is a challenge deck im the vein of Face the Hydra, based on Tevish Szat's Taramir. I originally did it as just a fun YMtC thing, but KeeperofManyNames expressed interest in having it up for vote, so here it is. For those of you who haven't seen it, I hope you enjoy it.

Oops I voted in the wrong thread!

Well, its usually much easier for me to learn gamesby seeing them actually played, but from what i can grasp from reading it, it sounds quite fun.

Your explanations were very vivid, and striking.

And cool card names!

Yea

Congrats on making me actually want to play a supplemental set. Even when I complimented you on Jakkard: Wild Cards, I didn't really care about playing it.

I actually wish there wasn't a "B Mode" win condition. I've played plenty of games with the point of high scores and not having an explicit winstate. But regardless, I liked the thing.

I like it! Very flavorful. I'm still not entirely sure how cards exist in our Archive, but considering they already do, that's no reason not to vote for this, because I really like the flavor and the alternate gameplay you've created here.

Yea.

As ever. CKY, I'm just really, really impressed by the combination of flavor and mechanics in your card sets. I wish these existed on real cardboard!

"Yea" from me!

I think this might be past the deadline but it looks like I can still vote, so by god I'm going to! I'm really glad you put this up for vote CKY, I think it's an awesome take on Taramir that would be fascinating to play alongside Szat's cards. I'm really intrigued by games designed to be unwinnable and bleak in outcome, and I think there's a lot of potential in supplementary products like this to explore Magic's potential for different emotional experiences. So yeah, this really is fantastic :D

Now I just need to figure out how the hell to play this with Cockatrice :/

Step 1: Get the NGA Constructed plugin.

Step 2: Quote my post and copy and paste the Dark Tide deck into Cockatrice. Save it.

Step 3: Build your own deck and save it.

Step 4: Start an offline game with two players. Load your deck for the first player and the Dark Tide deck for the second player. Start the game.

Step 5: Have fun. Or should I say, xx!!!Fun!!!xx

Hm, so that wouldn't work for multiplayer though right? Sorry I don't totally know the ins and outs of Cockatrice functionality yet

for multiplayer I think you can only have one player per connection so you'd have to either have someone connecting just to play the deck, or someone with two computers connected twice, once as a player and once as the deck.

This looks really cool. I really like how varied the output of this project is.
