Front page material?

I'm about to fall asleep on my keyboard, so I cannot muster any other words right now. I have them, but they won't come right now.

Dudette Lily do you have an art page somehwere?

Not really. I have a deviantart but it's old and kinda bad now imo. I'd put my photoshopped stuff on there, but it doesn't feel right for that site.

Here's a few words: I would like to know if the front page will be using the same formatting as the forums? Because I'd like to know if I need to make any tweaks to the feature release of War of the Wheel, especially if I'm going to put [p] tags in (something that I still need to do).

I think DA has plenty of room for photoshopping, but I've grown to dislike DA for the UI and for the way they keep loading ads, usually the kind with sound.

We are trying to ensure that bbcodes work on the front page as they do here. The most common ones (text formatting with [b] and friends, some layout things, autocarding) are already working.

Notable things that do not currently work and would require a fair amount of work to get: dice, smilies, tables. If these are important let us know and they'll be put on the list of Things To Do.

That sounds pretty great, because I was thinking of converting my articles into HTML, which is something I think I can do, though I have 0.0001 EXP in HTML.

Ideally everything supported on the forum should also be on the front page, but I'm ok with what has been done so far. If I had to pick one, I think table functionality is a pretty big deal for formatting purposes.

So will HTML functionality still work?

I gotta remember to talk to you, Welder, about wiki functionality too since we might want to use the Ratings templates for M:EM stories on the front page...

I agree, supporting everything would be great. But we want to get this released sooner rather than later, and taking the time to implement everything would make it very much a 'later' thing. So we'll start with a limited set and try to add things as they are needed.

@Keeper:
It looks like most HTML will Just Work (c), including tables.

Wiki templates are less likely; I think using templates as they are in the wiki, or even transclusion, will almost certainly not happen.
Copy/pasting the templates' rendered HTML is a little clunky, but should get us most of the way there.

If RavenOfTheBlack is cool with it, there should be a regular feature which gradually goes through Magic: the Musical one song at a time.
