With the release of Magic Duels, Wizards has officially retired the Duels of the Planeswalkers franchise. I think the name of the subforum should be changed to reflect that. Perhaps a thread in that section looking for feedback would be in order?

Do the mods even read this forum? I assumed that by posting this in the metaboard that it would reach them.

Suggesting a name you want it changed too might help the process along a little.

Yes, submitting what you'd prefer it changed to is the one thing that would make this work.
Because simply stating you want it changed only means it could be named "Fluffy Bunny Paradise" among other things.

I think it's fairly obvious here that I want it to change from "Duels of the Planeswalkers" to "Magic Duels".

I don't want to leave the subforum's roots and the past 5 games in the dust.

Now see, to my outsider perspective, what I see is one person asking to have an entire forum name changed. I'm not saying that I agree one way or another, but it might help if we heard more than one person from either side.

Honestly, every "issue" that has been raised here was already in the OP for those who had taken the time to actually read it.

The admins and such aren't in charge of inspiring change, they make the changes.
You make the thread looking for feedback, then bring the result of that thread here. Once the higher ups notice that it isn't just a single person requesting the change. Boom, I'm sure it will happen. Now, I can't speak for the gobosquad, but that's how they made changes in the past.

For example, the like button. Nobody really uses it to much effect, but because multiple people requested it at teh time, it was implemented. Personally, I love it (thank you for the like button!), but that's how you get the change.

That said, they could make it a sticky, but beyond that, it's really all up to you hakeem.

I just checked the first five pages of the DOTP forum (dating back to July 16), and there was not a single thread that I saw as being about this issue. How do you even know that others in the current DOTP forum want this change or would even feel comfortable with it?

I've seen plenty of threads on this forum before that were about the forum itself rather than truly on-topic for the subforum they were in. The invariable response was always "this belongs in the metaboard" so I decided to be a good little boy and follow that advice.

I give up.

Think of it as signing a petition. You've brought to our attention the potential for change. We told you what needs to be done in order for that to happen. You've done everything correct thus far, there's nothing you need to give up on.
The last thing you need to do is to prove that it's something that should be done.

Currently we have you asking for a change, and mjack asking for not-a-change. Thus it will likely not change.
Start a petition thread, and gather support, then bring the results back here.
