A Giant Stroke of Luck

I wish you could see how wide this made me smile. :D

See? I can do it, too.

:shudder:

That felt weird.

That was a solid reference Orcish.

Raiker Venn wants to learn about poetry, and so gets entangled in a hilarious romantic folly with Fisco Vane, the Shark. However, Fisco is suffering from an ancient curse, and will only help Raiker if that **** goes to one of the thousand refractions of Rabiah to see Chardis of the Dual-Walkers about a cure. Chardis knows about the cure, but will only give it to Raiker if that **** can locate The Chaos Ring. Raiker searches for it on Iun Ilana, but only finds a prism. At this point, Raiker gives up on this side quest.

I just find it funny that he would go through all of that trouble to learn a subject he's already an expert in...

Quote:
In the dark of the night, Fisco Vane, the Shark is woken by a Masticore! The Masticore explains that he has been chosen to become the last defender of Siraus and using the magic of a Jakk gun, he can become the hero known as Magical Girl Fisco! But there's no time to learn the ropes as Aria is raising an entire army of Snow Flagbearers!

Well, at least he already knows how to use the artifact.

Things have gone poorly, and it seems to be Blink's darkest hour. But then, suddenly and out of nowhere, Rishima, Queen of the Black Sands arrives! She comforts Blink, and things start to seem better for her. Together, Blink and Rishima head off to explore Adrisar.

Poor Adrisar.

Due to a slight miscalculation, Morgan of Voor was attacked by Fisco Vane, the Shark. Now, Morgan suffers from a hangover and desperately turns to Vasilias, Lord of Ariva for help.

I cannot make any sense of this at all.

He's just upset that he arrived too late to witness the tragedy.

In the Barrel and Viashino tavern on the miniature plane Segovia, at the bar, Nasperge gives an Aubedore reading to Asher in the "Crossroads pattern."
For the corners, he draws the Student, the Fairy (inverted), the Sufferer (inverted), and the Shield (inverted).
For the spokes, he draws the Horse, the Library (inverted), the Wolf, and the Priestess (inverted).
At the Crossroads, he lays the Hourglass (inverted) vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Arrow, which is horizontal.
Asher ponders this carefully.

Can someone interpret this for me?

Coincidentally, Kimberley Talon and Maral, Celestial Wright both end up on Ikass. There, they hear a strange tale told by an ancient mystic. In the tale, it seems that Renn Winmoore begins traveling with Sava Pith. Together, they acquires the artifact known as a gilded lotus from Raef. Maral decides to investigate the tale, but Kimberley stays on Ikass...in bed.

Parts of this seems quite likely.

After overhearing a bizarre rumor, Rishima, Queen of the Black Sands decides to search for a mysterious treasure on Kamigawa. For the sake of safety, Rishima enlists the aid of Ellia the Endbringer. After a long and eventful adventure, they finally reach a fog-choked graveyard. After hours of searching, they find their treasure! Triumphantly, Rishima raises a magic scroll over her head!

I don't know which of them would be the worse travel companion...

I thought Adrisar was in trouble when Blink and Rishima went there together, but it seems Theros is far worse off.

I'm in agreement. I think the Generator has rolled this pairing a couple of times before, and I'm always struck by two things.

First, I feel like Tryst and Lukas actually have a lot in common. They both spend a disproportionate amount of their lives dealing with demons, despite the fact that they both loathe demons. And they both justify those decisions to themselves with the rationale that it's part of a plan to try to save someone who they love.

Second, despite how much they have in common, it's possible that they might never discover those similarities, because it's also possible that they might just try to kill each other.

It would either be one Hell of a fight, or a very interesting conversation.

Zhiran decides to write a guide for a new plane he found while searching for promising students. It says:
Welcome to the plane of Uckn. It is a tiny plane that is a helix, and its land is mostly urbanized.
It is an utopian place, with many small groups scattered across the world.
The plane's intelligent races are moderately diverse. Loxodon, fox folk, insect folk, apes, snake folk, rhox, cat folk, kor, viashino, and humans, are all found here.
The plane's iconic creatures include Horrors, Griffins, Wurms, Elementals, and Krakens.
Here, you'll find bizarre landscapes with pillar-shaped land masses can be found and there are lots and lots of talking animals. Enjoy your stay!

This plane guide actually seems coherent and consistant. I think that's the first time that's happened to me.

The Shifter throws a party on Cyrea. He invites Mattias the Tinkerer, Nasperge, Fisco Vane, the Shark and Lukas Harran, but who cares? It’s not like I was invited, the lousy little so-and-so’s. They think they’re so cool with their parties and their scarves and their Noggle Ale, and they don’t have any time to spare for a friendly neighborhood narrator who only wants to join in the fun. Oh, I get so lonely sometimes, sitting up here, watching the action, trying to put it all into words. When’s going to be my time! Huh! I need to get out of here…

Never saw this one before.

Alessa Rehn does an Aubedore reading for Beryl, the Heart-Scarred in the "Crossroads" pattern.
For the corners, she draws the Pond (inverted), the Princess, the Huntress, and the Sword (inverted).
For the spokes, she draws the Teacher, the Coin, the Jester, and the Scroll (inverted).
At the Crossroads, she lays the Shield vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Orchard, which is horizontal.
Beryl, the Heart-Scarred is free to interpret the reading as she wishes.

I can't figure out the whole thing, but it seems to me that the Huntress followed by the Jester might have to do with needing to bring the Shifter down.

Quote:
Lumina Revelaris decides to write a guide for a new plane she found while protecting Solphos. It says:
Welcome to the plane of Zaan. It is a massive plane that is a planet, and its land is highly varied.
It is an idyllic place, with many small groups scattered across the world.
The plane's intelligent races are moderately diverse. Cat folk, orcs, apes, humans, centaurs, rhox, insect folk, aven, goblins, and merfolk , are all found here.
The plane's iconic creatures include Dragons, Lammasu, Wurms, Undead, and Illusions.
Here, you'll find the world is overrun by Phyrexians. Enjoy your stay!

"an idyllic place...overrun by Phyrexians."

Desperately, Aloise Hartley saves Ygraine of Segovia's life. This draws the ire of The Duchess, who had orchestrated Ygraine's intended demise.

Well, that seems entirely plausible.

Quote:
Ellia the Endbringer begins traveling with Aamir. Together, they buys flowers for Larasa Farleth.

Well, Ellia always causes trouble, but this is possibly the first time she does it through matchmaking.

Quote:
In the Black Noggle tavern on Valjan, after midnight, Nasperge gives an Aubedore reading to Raiker Venn in the "Crossroads pattern."
For the corners, he draws the Angel (inverted), the Soldier (inverted), the Peak (inverted), and the Unicorn.
For the spokes, he draws the Poet, the Gravestone, the Dwarf, and the Priestess (inverted).
At the Crossroads, he lays the Princess vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Sufferer (inverted), which is horizontal.
Raiker Venn accuses him of stacking the deck.

Well, when one of the paths is the inverted Angel followed by the Poet, that does look a bit too obvious...

Quote:
Lourima Viiran finds herself captured by a very strange army comprised of Phelddagrifs, Young Scouts, Moonfolk Minions, and even Elder Elfs.

Only posting this because of the double alliteration.

Quote:
The Shifter begins searching for The Calling Bell. But things are rarely simple and matters take a serious turn when The Inferno Amulet appears too. Now The Shifter has a difficult choice to make.

I don't think the Multiverse as a whole could benefit from either choice.

Quote:
Coincidentally, Cyrryc Adda and Ellia the Endbringer both end up on Ergamon, home of Truga Jungle. There, Ellia is attacked by a Graveborn Miniature Giant Volver, but Cyrryc manages to save her just in time.

For one thing, I would like to see this interaction, especially since it actually seems somewhat plausible. For another, "Miniature Giant".

Mel, I think that might be the worst idea you ever had.

Nope, I was wrong.

Quote:
In the Dancing Goblin tavern on Ravnica, for a nominal fee, Nasperge gives an Aubedore reading to Gruff in the "Crossroads pattern."
For the corners, he draws the Queen (inverted), the Endless Maze (inverted), the Turtle, and the Archer.
For the spokes, he draws the Baroness, the Pond, the Peak, and the Flag.
At the Crossroads, he lays the Manacles vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Rope (inverted), which is horizontal.
Gruff is very confused about its meaning.

Of course, Gruff is confused about many things...

Quote:
Nasperge does an Aubedore reading for Kimberley Talon in the "Crossroads" pattern.
For the corners, he draws the Griffin (inverted), the Angel, the Shadows, and the Scroll (inverted).
For the spokes, he draws the Giant (inverted), the Pond, the Orphan (inverted), and the Statue.
At the Crossroads, he lays the Lovers vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Sword, which is horizontal.
Kimberley Talon is visibly shaken by the reading.

The Lovers under the Sword, huh? Whatever could that refer to?

Quote:
Auric Avarius has grown suspicious of Huinn, Last of the Darkwings and follows the other 'walker to Helkavin. There, Auric realizes he made a terrible mistake.

Well, following Huinn anywhere would probably be a mistake.

Quote:
Vasilias, Lord of Ariva has a secret admirer! After receiving several gifts, Vasilias discovers the secret admirer is Chardis of the Dual-Walkers! Vasilias is ecstatic!

"You're willing to rip apart entire planes to prolong your life? We have so much in common!"

Quote:
In the Cauldron and Merfolk tavern on Iun Ilana, under duress, Nasperge gives an Aubedore reading to Huinn, Last of the Darkwings in the "Crossroads pattern."
For the corners, he draws the Ancient One, the Coin, the Archer (inverted), and the Crow.
For the spokes, he draws the Tavern, the Arrow (inverted), the Manacles, and the Smith (inverted).
At the Crossroads, he lays the Healer (inverted) vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Twins, which is horizontal.
Huinn, Last of the Darkwings tells Nasperge to stop drinking.

In the Dancing Slug tavern on Aralheim, in a back room, Nasperge gives an Aubedore reading to Huinn, Last of the Darkwings in the "Crossroads pattern."
For the corners, he draws the Archmage, the Hourglass, the Tavern, and the Shapeshifter.
For the spokes, he draws the Temple (inverted), the Servant, the Unicorn, and the Seeker.
At the Crossroads, he lays the Knight (inverted) vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Twins (inverted), which is horizontal.
Huinn, Last of the Darkwings is free to interpret the reading as he wishes.

I got these fairly close together, and I think they show some very interesting parallel universes, as shown by the fact that both of them include the Twins (clearly symbolizing Huinn and his brother), but one of them is inverted.

Syl of the Dual-Walkers accidentally sees Kahr-ret-Taris naked.

Next on the War of the Wheel gag reel...

Beryl, the Heart-Scarred begins searching for a Jakk gun.

I don't know how i feel about this.

Quote:
Vasilias, Lord of Ariva has accidentally misplaced The Chaos Ring on Ikass. Can he find it again before Ellia the Endbringer learns it is missing?

So, which one of those two would you rather see in control of a dangerous artifact?

Quote:
Mel Odrum attempts to tie The Shifter to the railroad tracks. It does NOT end well for him...

You just never learn, do you?

Quote:
Auric Avarius dies unexpectedly. Now, he is forced into servitude by Donagut,Maral, Celestial Wright, and Blink. Does he have what it takes to escape?

I... Um... What?

In the Nymph and Satyr tavern on Siraus, in front of a gathering crowd, Nasperge gives an Aubedore reading to Ilyria the Accursed in the "Crossroads pattern."

For the corners, he draws the Angel (inverted), the Library, the Seamstress (inverted) , and the Field.

For the spokes, he draws the Seeker (inverted), the Thief (inverted), the Jester, and the Servant (inverted).

At the Crossroads, he lays the Queen vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Horse, which is horizontal.

Ilyria the Accursed does not believe Nasperge's interpretation.

I'm posting this one less for the reading, and more for the tavern. The "Nymph and Satyr" is an absolutely fantastic name for a bar. I want it to exist.

Chardis of the Dual-Walkers arrives on Helkavin, in the possession of the artifact known as The Calling Bell. But Lumina Revelaris covets The Calling Bell and attempts to steal it from Chardis

I don't know if she covets it so much as doesn't want it in Chardis's hands...

Denner: "At least they look like they're having fun."
Tryst: "I guess."
Denner "Would you like to..."
Tryst: (turns her head and narrows her eyes.) "No. I wouldn't."
Denner: "No, I didn't think so. I'll just talk to this statue over here."
Tryst: "That's our hostess."
Jade: "My name is Nephractinoni."

Fisco Vane, the Shark attempts to explain how to bathe a Kobold to Cyrryc Adda, but he realizes Cyrryc couldn't care less!

Fisco: "No, you idiot, it's a saying! An insult! Go bathe a kobold. Nothing? You don't even care, do you?"
Cyrryc: "Not really. But hey, do you mind if I inject you with this dark purple liquid? It won't hurt much at first."
Fisco: "I wouldn't recommend trying, pal."

Horror Hyenas sound awesome. So are Incarnation Spawn Dwarf Shamans.

Sorry. That's just too perfect.

Cute story. Completely out of character, but cute.

Raiker Venn ends up retracing the steps of Beryl, the Heart-Scarred

The Generator still does not like Beryl.

It’s an interplanar game of Tag! The Eightfold Lotus tags Narissa Enshar on The Wheel, who tags Raiker Venn on the continent Below Land, who tags Beryl, the Heart Scarred on Ikass. Beryl attempts to tag Blink on Iun Ilana, but Blink narrowly escapes! Now Beryl is failing at this, just like everything else in life...

She probably didn't want to catch Blink anyway.

Sigh.

I'm making this promise right now: If I ever decide to pack it all in and chuck corporate life in favor of opening a bar (which, for the sake of this hypothetical, I'm just going to assume I won in a dice game), I'm naming that bar the Nymph and Satyr. This is my solemn vow.

No. I don't think any of them are working, or my test ones on my own pastebin, for that matter. I suspect it's a problem with the site or with pastebin or them with one another. But it's been down for a couple of days, at least.

I'm guessing the problem is with pastebin. I would think the first step is to try a different, similar service.
