So, Enascentia is up on Kickstarter, and it looks like a fairly interesting idea. I should say, the base concept behind it sounds interesting, where your character is born the moment the game begins and has no past, so you search for answers to your own existence. I dunno what the game's mechanics are to facilitate it, but I would image one could run a similar campaign with almost any other system. Still, it's a neat idea, and $11 to get a basic Player's Handbook PDF.

It's apparently achieved some local success, so it's worth taking a look. That said, I wonder about the viability of a campaign setting where the point is for the players to choose their own path. It could pose problems if the PCs venerate different Kami.

To be honest, I have some serious doubts about the entire thing, but it still sounds really cool. Maybe you have to choose your Kami before the game starts so everyone is on the same page?
