This was my third try at the new draft format. I had a few preferences (UW skies/tempo, BW enchantments, UB mill) that I wanted to try out, and managed to draft one of those. For those that want to try their hand at redrafting the pack, here is the adventure:

And here are my picks. If you want to follow the commentary, look at the appropriate pack in the adventure.

And here are the takeaways:

There is a real graveyard deck in the format, the gold uncommon being the card it revolves upon.

Don't play seven-mana bombs in a tempo deck, no matter how appealing they look.

Blue is a great place to be in triple Origins draft. I expect a lot of players to start forcing it quite soon. And if not, their loss, my gain.

I've gone 8-4 in matches across five 8-4 queues now. Here are some things to consider:

-The gold cards are good and worth splashing a third color for. It's not that difficult, either.
-The small creatures are certainly menacing, but I haven't played nor faced an aggro deck yet that I felt was amazing. The one aggro deck I played myself looked incredible on paper, but had trouble finishing things off against GU blockers.dec. Admittedly I flooded in all three games, but the deck still felt like it needed to hit its cards a little too perfectly to win. One example, of course, and not worth writing off.
-The three decks I piloted to the finals: UWb fliers with a lot of removal and card draw; GRW with a focus on ramp, 4+ drop fatties, and two Elemental Bonds; and UG with some counters, pump, bounce spells, and a lot of good small and midrange creatures. I felt like my first deck was unbeatable.
