General Note:

If you guys can't make up your minds on something to happen, I can make something happen for you. If you're stuck, just ask and I'll pick something outta a hat, either some roleplay interaction, a battle, or perhaps something even more random in the town. But it seems the game is stagnating a bit, so I may just push everything forward for the storyline.

I need that BS, though, because I'm working off of Pathfinder knowledge. I need to know when I'm flat out wrong about how the system works.

Coolio, I'll stay the course then :P. But yeah, what you've got is probably fine since there doesn't seem to be too much of a precedent for overland flight that I can find (Other than like the one paragraph in the DMG I mentioned).

I'm down for whatever, usually the only thing slowing me down is whether I'm too worn out from my day to muster the required energy to be so clever obnoxious bombastic all the time :33.

Pretty sure we're all just waiting on Fel to make a decision right now.

Yeah, and it's been three days of waiting on their decision. Oh well.

Sorry for the delay, guys. I normally don't check the forum much on weekends, and this one was rather busy. I'll make a post today, but no, I won't fly to the rock.

To elaborate on overland flight, the DMG says flight works the same as travel on foot except that a mounted creatures must rest 1 hour for every 3 hours it flies. Beyond this is up to the DM.

Normal travel pace seems to count a creature's regular speed over a minute (so a speed of 50 feet would be 500 feet in a minute) and then round down to the nearest mile over an hour (so 500 feet in a minute equals 5.68 miles in an hour, round down to 5 miles). This is for simple and clear terrain, which open sky is. I'd allow a flying character with a flight speed of 50 feet to fly 5mph for eight hours without penalty, but this is for me, extrapolating from what is given in the books.

Ahh, I see where the book is coming from now, I had a slightly different idea in my head. Eight hours of flight / marching without penalty is fine, but I was also assuming they would need to stop for food, 'bathroom breaks', and periodic short rests as well during those eight hours. Either way, fel has said Kitar wasn't going to go find Lance Rock immediately without you guys.

So, what I'd like to know is: What is everyone's intentions for the rest of the day? Whatever you'd like to do, check out, etc., I'd like to know what your characters are thinking about. Also, I'd like three percentile rolls with your character's intentions, five perception checks, two diplomacy (or equivalent) checks, and specifically for Luka, one Performance check for your show. If it's all right, I'll use each of your rolls to move the group through the rest of today and through the night so we can get the game rolling. If you guys wouldn't like that, I'll leave you to your own investigations. This is just an option to keep the game moving. Everyone would also be getting some bonus knowledge of the town as well based on where they go or who they intend to speak with.

I think I'll check out building 1 for a bit to see if I can get any more info on what sort of trouble the town's in (besides the bandits I guess), but otherwise prolly chill out and prep for my show.

I would prefer to actually RP the investigations, but if everyone is going to roll, I'm not going to be the one delaying the adventure. I'll plan where I'll be going for the rest of the day and post the rolls once more people have spoken their preferences.

Oh I'm perfectly okay with chatting it up for a while. Iados on the other hand is the fun police. Feel free to carry on.

As I said, it was just an option. I was looking at the game, and we've been playing for three weeks and have essentially done 2 hours, so I was kinda figuring it might take a good while yet until everyone heads out for the missions. But, with that said, if people want to keep going the way we have, feel free, I just wanted to give a second option.

One of the problems I've had with this type of thing thus far is that we get stuck in one scene for far too long and never actually get where the action is.
While we might sacrifice some RP, I personally would like to see if it's any better going by the speedy method.

Pretty much this, especially since I work 3 am to 3 pm and the DM seems active from like midnight to 6 am (form my perspective), so even a single conversation could take days for me :/. Which don't get me wrong I'm having fun, but would not be opposed to a bit of a montage.

If y'all wanna give it a go, just post me the requested rolls. If you're unhappy with the result of the push, we could always backtrack and remove it, or just never do it again. It will be an incredibly long write-up since it'll cover several hours, and across many areas of the town.

Obed will keep drinking, though he is happy to barhop. He wants to continue to get to know people and the town and is generally friendly though he doesn't feel the need to avoid a friendly bar argument or fight. If he changes locations, he'll use Mask of Many Faces between each location, casting Disguise self at will. Nothing drastic but enough to not be recognizable as himself.

Kitar will overfly the town and surrounding region until night falls and he can't see anymore. He'll look for suspicious activity or any clues about the bandits, though he won't take any hard actions. If he sees Jalessa or Harburk from above, he'll fly closer to them and try to talk again, but he won't insist much if they still don't want to share any info. Once his patrol is over, he'll fly back to the inn to eat and rest.

Got three of six rolls needed to fast forward. Until all of them are in, please feel free to continue your conversations.

Wait sorry what are we rolling for? Did I miss a post somewhere?

Never mind I found it. Hmm...

Iados will stand by his previously stated plan of action - kill time, take a nap, patrol around the village tonight and then head out in the morning ready and raring to go! More specifically he'll probably just hang around the Inn, trying to keep his head down as to not cause an even greater scene. Though since you mentioned the inn itself doesn't serve real food he'll probably venture across the way to The Helm at Highsun for an actual meal (something plain but warn and filling) before retiring for the night. His thoughts are mostly on the 'evil presence' mentioned. It's vague but certainly enough to catch his attention. He'll be eager to set out and investigate come tomorrow.

Rolls are below. I'm going to throw in a pair of Insight rolls as well on the off-chance I learn something from them.

Hexion will walk about town looking for trouble. He might stop by building (12) since he was slightly interested in what he saw earlier. He might even pick up a few samples if he sees a chance. Whatever he does, however, he will make it back in time for Luka's show.

I don't know what it is about that roll.
That's just amazing how first half of the D20s are so low and the second half so high.
It's almost as if luck is trying to help show how little attention Hexion pays to the things around him.
