Normal travel pace seems to count a creature's regular speed over a minute (so a speed of 50 feet would be 500 feet in a minute) and then round down to the nearest mile over an hour (so 500 feet in a minute equals 5.68 miles in an hour, round down to 5 miles). This is for simple and clear terrain, which open sky is. I'd allow a flying character with a flight speed of 50 feet to fly 5mph for eight hours without penalty, but this is for me, extrapolating from what is given in the books.
Ahh, I see where the book is coming from now, I had a slightly different idea in my head. Eight hours of flight / marching without penalty is fine, but I was also assuming they would need to stop for food, 'bathroom breaks', and periodic short rests as well during those eight hours. Either way, fel has said Kitar wasn't going to go find Lance Rock immediately without you guys.
So, what I'd like to know is: What is everyone's intentions for the rest of the day? Whatever you'd like to do, check out, etc., I'd like to know what your characters are thinking about. Also, I'd like three percentile rolls with your character's intentions, five perception checks, two diplomacy (or equivalent) checks, and specifically for Luka, one Performance check for your show. If it's all right, I'll use each of your rolls to move the group through the rest of today and through the night so we can get the game rolling. If you guys wouldn't like that, I'll leave you to your own investigations. This is just an option to keep the game moving. Everyone would also be getting some bonus knowledge of the town as well based on where they go or who they intend to speak with.
