Their vote will still default to a "NO" in the event they do not vote, but otherwise they are considered an active member for now.

Being the fifth person was kind of important to me though.
Anyway, I've been playing too much terraria, but to address raz. I didn't want to talk too much about why I voted like I did, because I think that in the early stages of the game, it's overall better if spies can't predict how people will vote. Now, like, I was obviously just hammering rejects because I wanted the fifth mission, because I think it's marginally better for me if I make a team after a full round compared to joining NeoSilk's.

yeah as much as I don't trust Mown I think enough strategizing was built around Mown being the 5th that it's probably best to just let them be, even if Zinger's absent.

Alright then, but for fairness, I will be treating all leaders who miss their chance to propose a team (48 hour window) as a failed proposal.

given that Mown hasn't proposed a team yet and Zinger warned us of their absence up-front, I think it'd be ok if we let them propose a team.

actually Zinger if you see this before Kiki posts, propose a team. then if Kiki accepts it we can use it, and if not we at least know what team you might've wanted to field, in an environment where there was a possibility it'd be real.

this is another one of those times where most of the voting period is during the weekend.

also there seems to be a distinct lack of activity this game. if this was mafia I'd be running out of lynches to throw at lurkers but since we can't do that all that's left is just pushing people to talk. come on guys, Zinger's phone got eaten by literal fire, does anyone else have that good an excuse to not be talking?

Its day one, we haven't managed to go on a single mission and there is literally nothing to gone on? That's my excuse.

yeah but it's like mafia: we need an active day 1 so we have things to reference later. otherwise on day 2 we'll be basically just as lost. that's why I keep asking people why they voted the way they did: forcing people to stake out claims now lets us examine those claims for inconsistencies later. shrugging it away with "it's day one, nothing matters" is just helping the scum hide.

I always found this game to have a lot more math under the hood then mafia. Mafia always seemed to be more pointing and shouting while Resistance was more about working junk out. But since everyone is too much of a damned coward to just let the first mission go unless they are on it looks like were going to sit here going round and round and round forever.

Well, I guess I expected this to happen. It's always kind of amusing to me how people push through missions so we don't get a #5, which kind of gives the same end result, just one mission earlier.

eh, Garren and I have been voting yes every time, Nik has been except when they defaulted, and Zinger voted for their own mission. I'd hardly call it pushed through.
