Kitar
The woman walks right past you, the smell of smoked meats hanging heavily off of her as she knocks on the door you are in front of. The same grumpy man answers the door and says, "What do you want, Jalessa? I just wanted a few minutes of sleep between my shifts."
"We just got in five hogs that need breaking down," says Jalessa in a matter-of-fact tone.
"And what in the Nine Hells do you want?" the man asks, finally noticing Kitar. But before Kitar even has a chance to open his beak in response, the old man who had been with Grund in the open area with the outhouses and pickles comes running around the corner. He stops dead in his tracks, nearly falling over, his chest heaving with labored breath from the running, shock filling his face upon seeing Kitar there.
"Constable Harburk!" the old man calls out. "This bird-monster just assaulted Grund twice! It's a monster and dangerous! I told it you knew about some troubles along the Cairn Road and to see you, and then it attacked again screaming something about Grund being a 'stupid bastard!' Please, help us, Constable!"
"WHAT?" exclaims Jalessa.
"You better get explaining, Bird," says Harburk threateningly.
Iados and Hexion
The old man running down The Long Road makes a sharp left just before the center of town, headed down a side street by the shop with the carved ham sign. You'll hear some muffled shouting from that area, but you're a little too far to properly hear whats going on right now (especially Hexion who is a bit farther away from the center of town that Iados). The young girl on the other hand, doesn't seem perturbed by these events at all, nor by Iados' awkward expressions. She giggles at his explanation, and holds a small hand up to him.
"You're silly, I like you," she says. "My name is Amycipus. What's yours?"
Dev and Luka
Kaylessa looks surprised for a moment, and then regains her composure, "Compensation, right, completely skipped my mind. I, uh, well, we're a small township, so we don't have a whole lot to offer you in the way of coins. I'd be willing to give you and your compatriots rooms on the house, and if you manage to defeat the evil presence, I'll have a monetary compensation figured out upon your return. Is that fair? I can't promise anything, but I'm sure we could scrape at least forty gold or so together."
There is a brief knock at the door. Kaylessa opens it to see a young half-elf girl on the other side who says, "M'am, Mister Thelder sent me, he says he needs the noble's schedules for the next week."
"Tell Iraun I'll be with him shortly," replies Kaylessa pleasantly as she closes the door and returns to the two of you. "Will that be alright?"
