I'm watching Blizzcon right now they are talking about Hearthstone. Looks abysmal as a card game. It's shiny and has cool features, like the deck builder looks amazing. But the game itself looks horrible. They pulled all of the discard out of the game because "it isn't fun to sit there and not get to play and we want everyone to have fun whether they are winning or losing." LOL.... how sad.

I think I might start playing Diablo 3 though. I'm already getting tired of GTA: Online

I was looking at some of the cards for Hearthstone and some of them seem ripped straight from mtg like Preparation which is a 0 cost spell that makes the next spell you cast cost 3 less. Seems awfully similar to Black Lotus...

To be honest, I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to DotP so I want to make sure everything is working out well here. I'm very familiar with Magic as I am an active paper and MTGO player but not so much on the DotP side.

Pulled discard out....geez. I'm good with discard! lol. Game doesn't look good to me either but I will wait a while and see if they get better. Remember, when they started Diablo 3, they had a ton of complaints but from what I've read, they've fixed almost all of it.

I need to play more of my other games. Got the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition a month ago and have hardly touched it. (it was on sale and I could not resist getting it for around $5)

Got Shadowrun Returns and stopped mid quest last time.
Got Final Fantasy 7 for a walk down memory lane and haven't touched it in a while either.
Got several Total Wars that I haven't touched yet.

And just saw...Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition coming out on 15th....Dammit, bad time to be broke.

There's a difference between the Diablo 3 complaints and the Hearthstone complaints. Diablo 3 complaints were due to No Online Day 1, and problems with the auction house and other technical things that could be fixed. My complaints about Hearthstone are actually in regards to design decisions, things that they aren't going to "fix" because they don't see them as a problem but more as an enhancing feature that allows "people to have fun even when they are losing." How "Nanny State" is that? Lets just make all new games in a fashion where they hold your hand through every little step or decision. I know that they gaming industry buzzword of the day is "Inclusion" but at what point does Inclusion mean that you are watering down your product to much? I know, gaming companies are starting to care about "hard-core gamers" less and less as they realize that they can make a lot of money selling to the much larger and more vocal casual gamer crowd. Everytime someone whines that something is too hard (even if it's a "Hard Mode") it seems like a knee jerk reaction happens that nerfs any encounter that might take just a little bit of skill.

I too despise the nanny state. What's next? no winners or losers and everyone gets a digitial trophy for competing? Instead of "damage", you get hearts and flowers instead of blood? "Oh COOL! My ghastlord just did 4 hearts to you. Now you have to give me 4 flowers in return! If you lose much more you're going to have to go the Sunshine Happy Forest of Dancing Elves again!"

Don't have a Tito's taco anywhere around. Is it a chain? I live in S. Mississippi. We've a ton of mexican restaurants, but only chain is Taco Bell..if you call that mexican that is.

If any of you want a good laugh, check out the Steam forums for DoTP sometime. Apparently, to a lot of them, Bounce and Boon is the worst deck ever,rofl. I guess unless it's aggro trample or something, they can't grasp it.

I do mention this site to the more serious players from Steam there. Maybe they'll start signing up so we don't have to keep talking only to each other.
