You do in fact - though in all fairness the ability assumes you perform enough to drum up enough coin to not have to pay for board. Or at least that's how I always assumed it worked. Effectively the same result anyway just with an additional step in the middle.

Actually, I didn't intend to follow Hexion at all. As soon as the two start walking south, Kitar will take of again. I'll make a post clarifying that.

Can aarakocras smile? I'm having a hard time describing emotions through facial expressions because so far I have been trying to stick to an actual bird's anatomy. I'm not sure if a beak can produce a smile, with it not having teeth and all that. What do you guys think?

The beak can't make that expression, but the muscles around it are perfectly capable. It doesn't look quite right as a smile, but it's about the best you can get.

Can I roll something to avoid Grund's attack?

I mean, it's not really an attack. There will be no problems from it, he just thought it looked soft and he wanted to hold one. If you're dead set against it, you can do a Diplomacy check to try to get him not to pull it, but he grabbed for it out of nowhere. Think of it as a surprise round. So, he's gonna get his hands on it, the Diplomacy would be to talk your way out of him pulling.

I'm assuming Diplomacy would be a Charisma roll? We don't have this skill anymore.
