Try to ask your questions in here, fel. I only ask so we don't clutter the in game thread with crap tons of OOC talk.

As for your question about figuring out what buildings are which from above, the short answer is "no." Sadly, buildings are typically not meant to be viewed from above, signs and the like are more eye level and on the sides of buildings, so while you may see some are one story or two stories tall, you won't really gleam anything else. In fact, just look at the map given in the OP of the game, because that's essentially what you could see from above, albeit a little zoomed out.

Now, as for more OOC stuff, I do urge you to remember that this is a module. I get only so much information about the world and what's in it for you guys, and it's not my world. As I told you, it was fine to play a birdfolk, but there are going to be limits on what you can do with that. I won't give out more than what I have so other players actually get a chance to explore a bit themselves. The adventure would be boring if say, the book told me that if you ask around there is a problem in area [blank], but because you fly you just see all the problems and skip the roleplay to get there and just rush through. That, and again, it's not like roofs of buildings have signs that say "Birdfolk, land here at the Inn to wet your beak."

Huh, after figuring out how to read this book, since the information really jumps around, it does seem running a module is pretty easy.... No confusing worldbuilding and the like, and just a little improv when it comes to conversations and the like, but otherwise it's just kinda re-stating whatever the book tells me...

Iados is a people person. I'm *this* close to adding an intimidate roll to that last post. Just to hammer the point home.

Good to know the intent. New post is up, taking into account Garren's intimidating factors.

You don't have to remind me in every post that you wont let me break the module, Squinty. I'm aware of that and have no intention of doing it. We'll be fine :)

Also: Sorry about the abrupt beginning. I wasn't sure how to get everyone together, so I kinda figured having you all start out as whatever version of a unit you wanted was best. I could have had each of you around town doing something unique, but I felt that would have been a really rough intro and a waste of time. The book isn't overly specific about how you get there or why, so I thought it best to leave those details up to you guys to roleplay.

In hind sight, I probably should have had you come in on a wagon train, or something like that instead of just dumping y'all in the middle of the town, but it's not like it was a big town anyways. Anywho, if people need any clarification to what they're seeing or what not, please let me know since I think I'm supposed to take some liberties with the book and embellish more than I have, but it's hard to know where that line is. So, any criticisms and hints about how to keep the game fluid will always be appreciated. I would love to see this module actually complete, though I get the feeling it'll take a very, very long time over PbP.

I say embellish the carp outta it. I tend to find the pre-written modules a little stale as far the NPC reactions and conversations are concerned - feel free to assign some personality to these people. It never hurts.

Finishing any adventure that is supposed to go to lvl 15 in PbP would be quite a feat, module or not. But we can do it :D

@Garren - Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. That's why I had the guy run from you and drop some minor coins for the fun of it. Figured it fit in well enough with such a small settlement. Heck, I plan to use your races to inspire a lot of conversation, good bad and otherwise.

@fel - I dunno if any game here has finished to a satisfactory degree as of yet, but I'm hoping a clear storyline and the promise the DM actually has it planned out (like doing a prewritten campaign) will help keep people in the game and interested.

Wish I had that luxury. I'm DM'ing a party of four humans - and a half-human. I think there has been like three NPC's in the entire module that weren't generic bad guys to kill or more humans. High fantasy my foot.

Kinda wish DS were to grace us with their presence. I mean, I am running this for DS in particular. Well, I'm sure we'll see her soon enough.

And the module actually gives a decent array of races for the important NPCs, so I'm actually pretty happy with that. It also leaves a good bit free to do some improv, so I'll probably get to do some random races here and there for y'all sooner or later that you weren't expecting to be around. Hell, I may involve some from Pathfinder that I particularly enjoy having around, just to throw some oddball stuff in for the roleplay. All of that will take time, though.

That's what happens when they make humans mechanically better than other races, which is the case in 5e.

That is a sad truth but a truth none the less. I'm going to actually have to get of my arse and finishing working on that 5E Race Compendium I started just to more options available. Besides who doesn't want to play a Kobold? Or a Thri-Kreen? Thri-Kreen are the best.

Now that would be an useful tool! Please be sure you share it with us once it is done. More races/classes are always welcome.
