I propose a massclaim using the standard method of claiming and then choosing who claims next.

Of the last three games hosted, werewolves mafia was the only one where a massclaim wouldn't favor town, and it was an open setup.

Personally I think everyone is scum until proven otherwise. Proof, for the record, can only be obtained posthumously. On the downside you're dead but on the upside your names gets put on a plaque and we send a nice gift basket to your next of kin.

there's about a 25% chance of any given player being scum on day 1 in your average game so being right about someone being scum half the time is exceptional rather than just pretty good. Generally a day 1 lynch hits town more than 75% of the time.

I'd like to see some other people consent to the mass claim before getting the ball rolling.

Not knowing the roles, I'm not convinced that a claim is good for town. But, if others are for it, I'm not going to object.

mafia doesn't know the roles either, in theory a massclaim could end up either team more. Traditionally games were designed to be disadvantageous to the town to massclaim but its been so long since a day 1 massclaim that i doubt mods care that much anymore, and when i looked over some recent games they did seem to favor town. Razor's even had a vanilla doc and cop in it, I think.

When you word it like that, this game has weird flavour, and potentially weird roles, and a mass claim becomes less 'Lets band together town!' and a touch more 'What kind of abilities do we have to avoid the town using?'

I like the idea Neo, but you do realize I could also be scum right? So having me alive in that case could be detrimental.
If I do something that means I'd get lynched, so be it.

Also, I'm against early mass claiming always, regardless of the game. But I'm sure a bunch of you already know that from me.

doc/cop is beneficial for town to massclaim especially in small games because assuming mafia hits the doc N1 and the cop N2, the cop gets to confirm the alignment of what will probably be a townie and by D3 the game looks like this

Which gives a 50% chance to lynch scum by rynch, better odds than the town would normally have. Mafia also needs to target two specific townies which on average leaves stronger town plays alive.

Also, if we're going to argue perspectives (chances of someone being scum, playstyle votes, or the such), then I'm going to pass and go sit in a corner of this cave until something important happens. Important being relative and, more than likely, I will think that whatever one person thinks as important isn't important. But I'll see when I get there.

On the issue of the massclaim...don't really see why not? Well, I'm sure I could come up with some logical objections, but I'm usually the sort of itchy trigger finger who wants to potentially crack open the game's design by massclaiming. So if we're doing this, I'm on board.
