Boros Rush deck. This deck can push through a lot of damage with its semi goblin semi white weenie aggro + raid bombardement + hall of triumph. Classic rush deck, that has been cut with only a few late game finishers. Cut 2 mana as well from my standard amount due to a much lower curve.

Bored with RDW or Izzet Burn, here's another option just to mix things up.

[manapie 90 w -u -b r -g][/manapie]

This is a straightforward Boros Deck Wins type build. Pretty much just trying to do as much damage as possible. I shift RDW from pure red to RW and gain some better early turn plays, while losing some synergy. All spells can target the opponent, and are trying to push damage through (they should never target creatures unless absolutely necessary). I think over all, I'm pretty happy with it, but did I miss anything obvious?

Resounding thunder is in here for 3 damage, and not for cycling - although the mana is possible to hit, you should never actually get there, IMO.

Some things to consider, the 1 CMC white cards are far better than their equivalents in either U or R, so there really is some advantage for this shift over the others. Truefire Paladin is also a very good aggro card, and well worth testing over the 2 CMC cards available in the other two options. What you lose in card advantage, and synergy, you actually regain in better aggro, IMO.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

I took it for a quick spin, went 5-3 against a reasonable cross section of Steam decks. 2/3 losses due to mana screw at 2 after mulling to 6. I would give up ... something for a land, maybe a pegasus? I'd also maybe lose 1 of each tapland for more mountains. They cost me a lot of tempo that would have won me games, or won better.

You have 17 burn spells, 3 pyromancers and 3 guttersnipes. That part of the deck seems pretty solid as a mono red burn deck. Rabblemaster is generally just awesome anywhere. I gotta say, the white weenies feel rather out of place here. Bushwhacker wants you to create a lot of tokens, and pyromancer can help with that. But you have neither raise the alarm nor command.

Personally I would try swapping the white stuff for 3 goblin arsonist, 4 command, and 3 blasting station. Swap 1 thunder for a 22nd mountain. Swap all your white mana for mountains. This is a pretty different deck than the one you started with, one that tries to maximize the face burn aspect.

I'm making a new post for this deck because I've featured it on YouTube and I want to be able to link to it from there. The table will reflect any changes made after the recording of the deck tech.

Look at the bottom of the fancy lists, there's a link to the planner used.

Or just click here.

I'm not real sure what this deck's goal is and it's not a very good, but somehow it got me quite a few wins. So give it a try and let me know if you have any success.

I've heard that if Banisher Priest is killed in response to targeting an opponent's creature to banish then the targeted creature will stay exiled forever. Does the same thing happen if you cloudshift your Priest before the targeted creature is exiled?

Hm, I'll have to test that. I only know about the Act of Treason + Cloudshift combo.

I do remember that Reanimator was really popular on XBL when I made this deck. It was really fun to use Banisher Priest to clear the way early and then Cloudshift it targeting whatever creature they targeted with Rescue from the Underworld. The hate messages were real:p

Spencer compare the wording on Fiend Hunter or Faceless Butcher to Banisher Priest.

Fiend Hunter has two separate triggers, an enter the battlefield ability (EtB) and a leave the battlefield ability (LtB). Normally you cast fiend hunter, the EtB resolves, your opponent's creature becomes exiled. Then lets say Fiend Hunter dies after the EtB resolves. The LtB triggers and it returns the creature to play.

You could exploit this wording by removing Fiend Hunter from the battlefield before the EtB resolves. While the EtB is on the stack, the target creature still hasn't been exiled. The LtB ability will resolve first because that is how the stack functions - last in first out. So the LtB will "return" the exiled creature to play - since the creature hasn't been exiled yet the LtB can't do anything. So by the time the EtB resolves fiend hunter is already dead and cannot trigger its LtB ability.

Banisher priest is different - it does not have two paired abilities, only one ability that exiles "until banisher priest leaves the battlefield." It was worded this way specifically to avoid the exploit I just mentioned.

I don't know why but this made me think of video LSV did on modo awhile ago that ended in an infinite O-ring loop.

I missed this and the above, sorry. I actually ironed out the deck, but I don't have my old iPad anymore. This wasn't as good as it could be, but I never posted the update. The final version didn't have the guttersnipes and was a bit different. I wish I still had the list to post it. /-:

I'm not really sure what the changes were, and I've stopped playing until MDO comes out.
