After so many bad expansions of late, I am pleasantly surprised about Crusader Kings II's Way of Life DLC. They really should have heavily expanded on the character roleplaying aspect of the game long before this, but glad they got around to it.

@trappedslider - KSP is now at 40% off. Probably the lowest it'll go for this sale.

picked up Making History II : The World War, it's a WWII TBS game, pretty fun so far,I've been toying with the mod editor recently, which is easy to use. The game itself is regularly 20$ but it was for 10$ so i bought it.

I think it's a very important step for the market as a whole. Now people will put even more time into amazing mods for games than the amazing time they already put into some things. That is when they make paid mods for other games. The trial period of 24 hours is really good too.

Well it's a moot point for now https://games.yahoo.com/news/bethesda-responds-blowback-over-skyrim-220944400.html

Valve removed the payment option from the game's Steam Workshop, saying "Skyrim was probably not the right place to start iterating."

Well at least HOMM has a release date and numerous trailers and screen shots and things. And a pre-order bonus. At doesn't cost £50.

What I'm saying is what is Fallout even doing up already? How is it already in the top sellers list? What is wrong with people?

People are dumb and pre-order anything. I, myself, fall into this category having pre-ordered Watch Dogs just to be horrifically dissapointed. It happens to us all.

In all fairness though the hype-train for Watchdogs was unavoidable. Fallout 4's entire advertising strategy at the moment seems to be 'It exists! Also a dog!' I just find it really weird is all.

They take their time with Fallout games, and while the formula hasn't changed in a long time for the series, people always seem to enjoy it.

Fair enough. I complain but I'm probably going to end up buying it anyway. Or at least I'll buy it a couple months after it's come out - be damned if I'm going to serve as one of Bethesda's unpaid beta testers again.

With any luck it wont be out till next year anyway. I've already got most of my release schedule planned out for the later half of the year.

Fallout 4 is going to be a decent RPG?

I agree though that preordering it is dumb. ESPECIALLY ON STEAM. That's like agreeing to pay $60 in advance for an unknown product when they'll give you the exact same benefits for doing it 10 minutes in advance. <- No seriously. That's pretty much all steam preorder bonuses.

It's even more humorous this time in that there aren't even the usual 'free soundtrack/backgrounds/art book etc' stuff that usually gets given away as pre-order bonuses. Literally no reason to pre-order at the minute. Hasn't even got system specs up so I sure hope all these people are confidant in there computers ability to play the thing.

With the new steam refunds stance, it's much less of a risk to preorder since you can back out at any time, but most of the time the few advantages to preordering a game are not worth it if you are worried about the game being unplayable or your specs not being capable of playing it.

I've never had to get a re-fund from Steam. Was it particularly difficult until recently?
