Done.

And my draft is done. TPmanW should have all the remaining picks in his inbox.

What do you know, I might actually have a deck.

So, supposing this is all done now, let's talk about what we drafted.

For me, my first pack was mostly garbage. I regularly don't like committing to two colors early unless pack 1's rare is so bomby that I can't resist, but the best card in pack 1 was an uncommon dragon, so I took it. After all, the thread title says "Pick the dragon" - so Ruthless Deathfang was my P1P1. Maybe I'll try for the Exploit deck, says I.

Pack 2 ships me a rare dragon in the same color pairing. "Pick the dragon", and slam a Necromaster Dragon.

The rest of pack 1 is mostly exploiters and exploitables (exploit.dec really likes Palace Familiars.)

But my deck really starts to hum when I am given Vulturous Aven in pack 2 at picks 6, 8, and 10.

I was sad that pack 3 didn't give me the two common exploitables I wanted (Sultai Emissary or Jeskai Sage) but I did get the recurring uncommon one (Marang River Prowler) ... I feel this is a pretty nuts exploit deck. I would be happy to draft and play this at an FNM DDF draft.

Final deck looks something like:

8 x Swamp
6 x Island
1 x Dismal Backwater
1 x Crucible of the Spirit Dragon
1 x Evolving Wilds

3 x Mardu Shadowspear
2 x Palace Familiar
1 x Pitiless Horde
1 x Marang River Prowler
1 x Merciless Executioner
1 x Dutiful Attendant
2 x Gurmag Drowner
1 x Profaner of the Dead
3 x Vulturous Aven
1 x Necromaster Dragon
1 x Torrent Elemental
1 x Soulflayer
2 x Ruthless Deathfang

1 x Butcher's Glee
1 x Reduce in Stature
1 x Mind Rot

Picks made, in order:
1 x Ruthless Deathfang
1 x Necromaster Dragon
1 x Evolving Wilds
1 x Palace Familiar
1 x Sidisi's Faithful
1 x Servant of the Scale
1 x Palace Familiar
1 x Mind Rot
1 x Updraft Elemental
1 x Qarsi Sadist
1 x Tread Upon
1 x Display of Dominance
1 x Sight of the Scalelords
1 x Wandering Tombshell

1 x Pitiless Horde
1 x Ruthless Deathfang
1 x Reduce in Stature
1 x Butcher's Glee
1 x Profaner of the Dead
1 x vulturous aven
1 x Gurmag Drowner
1 x Vulturous Aven
1 x Dutiful Attendant
1 x vulturous aven
1 x Monastery Loremaster
1 x Ancestral Statue
1 x Gurmag Drowner
1 x qarsi sadist

1 x Torrent Elemental
1 x Soulflayer
1 x Merciless Executioner
1 x Dismal Backwater
1 x Mardu Shadowspear
1 x Mardu Woe-Reaper
1 x Hooded Assassin
1 x Marang River Prowler
1 x Mardu Shadowspear
1 x Qarsi High Priest
1 x Alesha's Vanguard
1 x Crucible of the Spirit Dragon
1 x Abzan Advantage
1 x Rally the Ancestors
1 x Mardu Shadowspear
1 x Harsh Sustenance

I am technically missing my last 2 picks so until this goes around I will not leave details.

I did P1P1 a dragon. I think my deck is pretty solid but not spectacular.

My draft started with me picking Skywise teachings over a dragon for the sake of fun and wackiness. From there on I snatched prowess and pseudoprowess cards whenever I could.

My picks in order

Hmm, guess, I'll make a deck out of this really quick.
1 x Collateral Damage

1 x Soul Summons
2 x Elusive Spellfist
1 x Tormenting Voice
1 x twin bolt
2 x Center Soul
1 x Palace Familiar
1 x Territorial Roc

1 x Misthoof Kirin

1 x monastery loremaster
1 x Lotus Path Djinn
1 x War flare
1 x Lose Calm
1 x Skywise teachings
1 x Student of Ojutai
1 x Blessed Reincarnation
1 x Taigam's Strike
1 x Abzan Skycaptain

1 x Cunning Strike

1 x Wardscale Dragon

1 x Pilgrim of the Fires

8 x Island
5 x Plains
4 x Mountain

Oh wow that is a lot of 4 drops. Still, my curve isn't too high, just weirdly concentrated.
I'm counting 11 noncreatures with is a fair bit, but they should go a long way towards triggering my guys.
TONS of evasion. I probably should've stopped putting value on flying a ways in. Maybe nobody else has flyers now and I'll have air supremacy? Except for dragons which I have few answers for.
Not an amazing deck, but it's alright. Wondering if I should made cuts for Mystic Meditation. I was just too glutted on four drops to include them.

What do you guys think?

I can't believe you 4th picked Echoes of the Kin Tree and 2nd picked Lose Calm.

I would not play Pilgrim or Lose Calm in this deck. You aren't defensive enough to rely on hitting 7 mana and you are aggressive enough for Lose Calm.
I would also cut Blessed Reincarnation, because it's terrible.

I would probably play Belltoll Dragon, Meditation, and Outrider instead. Not that those are great cards or anything.

I could be wrong about the lose calm - maybe it's what you need to sneak in the last damage. I guess if you are the beat down I would play it over meditation. The morph dragon is just straight up better than pilgrim. It's a warm body on T3, and it's hexproof with better evasion if you get it face up.

Yeah, I'm what you call "not very experienced".
I figured Lose Calm was pretty good. Echoes of the Kin Tree even I knew was junk. Not sure what else was in that pack to make it look good.
I figured Blessed Reincarnation was removal and therefore playble. As long as you save it for their bombs you can't really go wrong with it. And if you did go wrong, you can fix it with rebound.
I definitely undervalued the morph on belltoll dragon. I just figured that in a world of much bigger fliers it wouldn't be albe to close out the game.

There were some terrible packs going around. Blessed Reincarnation is quite a bit worse than Reality Shift and that was pretty marginal. I could see using it on something that didn't die (Deathmist Raptor?) because it exiles. I guess we will be reviewing it pretty soon, but I've literally never seen it cast.

Well, I guess this isn't going to finish after all:

Here is my deck, minus a couple dreg cards:

2 x Glade Watcher
1 x Atarka Beastbreaker
1 x Herdchaser Dragon
1 x Screamreach Brawler
1 x Dragon-Scarred Bear
2 x Segmented Krotiq
1 x Colossodon Yearling
1 x Temur Sabertooth
1 x Sabertooth Outrider
2 x Aerie Bowmasters
1 x Sprinting Warbrute
1 x Harbinger of the Hunt

1 x Tormenting Voice
1 x Tail Slash
1 x Reach of Shadows
2 x Hunt the Weak
1 x Temur Battle Rage
1 x Draconic Roar
1 x Outpost Siege

1 x Bloodfell Caves
1 x Swamp
9 x Forest
6 x Mountain

//Sideboard
1 x Sheltered Aerie
1 x Shape the Sands
3 x Kindled Fury
1 x Foul-Tongue Invocation
1 x Return to the Earth
1 x Smoldering Efreet
1 x Archers of Qarsi
1 x Defiant Ogre
1 x Hardened Berserker
1 x Summit Prowler

I decided to cut Summie P because of the black splash and my glut of 4 drops. I suppose I could cut a morph or brawler for it... but on 7 sources is dicey, and I think Reach of Shadows is very good in this deck. I mean, I guess I could swap in Return to the Earth

I P1P1 Harbinger and just generally decent RG, including a pick 11 Sprinting Warbrute.
Pack 2 was mostly green for me, plus a pick 10 Foul-Tongue Invocation. But UB was wide open. I actually took a blue card in pick 4 from this:
1 x scale blessing
1 x vulturous aven
1 x kindled fury
1 x monastery loremaster
1 x mystic meditation
1 x qarsi sadist
1 x updraft elemental
1 x butcher's glee
1 x ainok artillerist
1 x pinion feast
1 x silumgar spell-eater

I also passed sign in birds picks 8 AND 10.

Pack 3 made the deck sing -- I went:
P1 Outpost Siege
P2 Hunt the Weak
P3 Temur Sabertooth
P4 Reach of Shadows
P5 Bloodfell Caves
P6 Hunt the Weak
P7 Temur Battle Rage

I passed a Silugar P3P2 but not much red (I lost out on Gore Swine for the Caves).
