oh man lots of goodies for white-red here. no nomads specifically, but temple sentinel and prayermaker are both nuts. strike the mast is probably the best removal in the set. I'm not in love with another 4-drop for our curve but I'm gonna say prayermaker.

I'm hoping to see that Charge back. the Sentinel and Strike are almost certainly gone but Charge is still pretty good and might make it back.

Strike the Mast.
You had me at "best removal in the set". Also check your pms razor.

Prayermaker
Enough toughness to survive most things in the set, enough power to kill them, lifelink to outrace them and convene to outdraw them. Guy's nutballs.

Based on the cards we saw in the first pack, Prayermaker seems ridiculous.

Prayermaker is 100% ridiculous. Actually, it's probably the strongest card in the pack. I'm changing my vote to it.

Prayermaker, without Convene it would be Mast, but that CA pushes it for me.

Uh...does anyone else think Secrets is a bomb? 8 power on two bodies for 4 mana...and still a 5/5 for 4 without a monk? and splashable...am I over-evaluating this card?

it's not really 8 power unless you play it on an 0/X, of which I don't think any monks exist in the set. your best bet is to drop it on Wandering Pup, which is pretty nuts but also kinda Christmasland-y.

I guess it not "really" 8 power...but on a stalled board it might as well be. It's basically an undercosted 5/5 that requires you to sac a creature when you cast it, with an upswing if you kill off a monk.

Edit: It reminds me of Elephant Guide. but feels stronger, probably equal I guess.

I think Secrets is the second best card in the pack. Or I did, until I noticed you must put it on a Monk to get the 3/3. Prayermaker is way the best card in red, green, or white in the pack, though.

Secrets reminds me of Raised by Wolves, which is fine but not amazing, and you need to be on monks for it.

Howling Blitz is bonkers. Is that the best Common in the format or something?

It's good, but 4 damage is pretty painful if you aren't shooting down wolves.

Well, you're not picking as many copies as you can, that's for sure. But the first one is great.

Howling Blitz
It's removal and nothing here beats removal.

I wish Leprechaun Dinghy cost a little less. With a name like that I want it to be as playable as possible.

Blitz. there's some goodies here but none of them measure up to Blitz.

Barrage Captain

We are in need of direction in this draft. We are going three-color at the moment, and I don't think that can be good. Captain is great in RG Archers, where our best cards seem to be. It's also removal on a stick. Conditional and so on, but Blitz has its disadvantages too.
