March would cover just about everything.

Should we start voting on individual card fixes? We have a whole bunch of suggestions starting two or three pages back. Just say the word and I'll put up some polls.

Well, I can't do it immediately. Maybe tomorrow or something.
Also I'm putting together a spread sheet of what themes are on what cards in what colours.

So what do we want to do next, for Development?

I'm at the doctor's office rn, but when I get home I shall go thru the set and point out any problems I see.

We could take a serious look at our blue one drops. We have 9 blue cards with cmc 1 (plus an X spell, but you'll never cast it for that). One of them has an engrave cost too, but still, 9 is way too many. We should go over them and select a few to change/cut.

Other things I noticed about blue:
Subterranean Scrawlings doesn't seem common.
Mist Weaver seems off theme for a blue common.
Shape Reality doesn't do enough to warrant its inclusion in any decks.
There are one heck of a lot of cards with conditional unblockability.
There is only one common blue engrave card, 2 uncommons and a rare.

In alphabetical order:

Abundant Growth was supposed to help with the Mastery spine deck, but now Dream Weaver is stepping on its toes.

Apolstle of Elori should just be Elori, and be Mythic.

TP misunderstood Arcane Scrying as putting the non-spell cards into your graveyard. I think such misconceptions can sometimes reveal the thing that's really best for the card. If it cost , and only did 4 cards, but put the rest in your gy, that would be a heck of a lot cooler.

Bahraz has been addressed.

I think Blooming Marlback should be buffed to a 4/4 for at Uncommon. I so want to splash G in the Enchantment deck, but currently there's not very many good reasons to do so.

I really don't like Brenem, Light's Shadow. I just feel like Mythics should appeal to at least 2 of the 3 player types, whereas this really only appeals to Johnny.

Is Black really a thing in the spell deck enough to warrant Cheapshot Enthusiast? It's a cute design, sure, but will it really be enough for people to want to draft it in the UR deck?

Chronicler Sphinx would still be incredibly powerful if the effect triggered only once when it dies. I think that should tell us something. Is it ok that this card is this ridiculous, to be our token ridiculous card? Or should we nerf it a little?

Claw through the Sand encourages using it as a combat trick because it's an instant. That's too complicated for a common. Either we down the cost by 1, or we up the rarity.

Consult the Elder Trees is one of the most badass cards in the set, but no one plays it because it costs too much. Can we please lower the cost to ?

Why do we have Cremate again?

Crystalline Lasher is the only card from Frostwynd. Which still needs a new name, btw. Rimescour?

To be contuniued…

Abundant Growth does seem a lot less relevant now. And this isn't a hugely multicolor set either. I suggest cutting it, but I don't feel that strongly either way.

I agree on Apostle of Elori.

I like having Arcane Scrying put the cards in the yard. Since we have so dang many blue one drops how about we raise the cost to and but still let it dig five cards deep?

Blooming Marlback... not sure about that one. I always saw it as a decent incentive for mastery/enchantments in limited, Not sure if it;s the place for a big constructed player.

Brenem, Light's Shadow shouldn't effect exile- that just rings alarm bells for me. Otherwise, it's a decent enough card, if not a super relevant one to the set. I think it needs to be at mythic though. Being able to play anything from your graveyard is too high impact for anything lower. The only way to make it rare that I see is to have it send everything that dies into exile. Even, then it seems kind of mythic.

It pains me to say it, but Cheapshot Enthusiast could probably be cut. I love that card, but I won't let my relationship drag me down.

Nerf Chronicler Sphinx. I don't want a "token ridiculous card", especially if it's ridiculous in the same set as Tarmogoyf. This needs fixing. I would restrict it to one card a turn (maybe tied to the risk of attacking) or even make it an etb effect that only worked on one card.

Claw through the Sand- when you say lower the cost, did you forget to write "and make it a sorcery"? Because I could get behind that. Instant speed reanimation is probably not something we want at common, even if it is pretty weak.

I like Consult the Elder Trees where it's at right now. All Suns' Dawn is still a beast in commander, so it's not like Consult the Elder Trees won't find a home. If we do lower the cost I'd make it . is just to easy to pull off for this kind of card advantage.

I think we were still in the very early stages of design when we added Cremate. It really doesn't fit in this set.

Pretty sure she meant reducing the cost of the things you can revive, regarding Claw through the Sand.

Oh. Not a fan of that idea then. Would it be too hard to find targets for it then? Regardless, it doesn't do anything to address complexity. (although it does reduce swingyness somewhat).

Consult the Elder Trees doesn't work as transcribed. You need the "among cards in your graveyard" or an "up to one" so you can actually cast it without having a tribal in your graveyard.

I think the only way we'll ever be able to do this is if I make ICD threads for every card.

nAH, JUST TAKE, well take caps lock off for starters. But then, just take one page of recommendations and vote on all of them. If a card becomes a sticking point, then we do an ICD.
