It seems this adventure was written by a eastern European by the dwarves's names. Quite interesting. I plan to convert this into a feature of the campaign.

Welker maybe a bit adventurous or he maybe thinking they maybe talking up the strength of the drink more than they should... Course don't know what the truth is yet.

Haven't moved towards the elf's table yet to talk, because I do want to know what the effect of one sip of the Dwarven ale would be.

Same as a normal strong ale. Copper poisoning takes a lot of time and dose to work, so Welker is safe unless he gets addicted to dwarf ales.

So 9 -1 +2 + background. It is up to you to create a way to make your background applicable. And if I think it is good, it will be. With a 9, it will make the difference.
