Gravepurge. I don't hate statue always, but if I need a single playable I'd rather have purge.

With as much removal as we have/our colours can get, Spidersilk Net isn't needed and it would never make the deck. I would rather pick Taigam's Strike on the chance that we use .

Just like at pick 7, among several choices unlikely to make our deck, I have Champion of Arashin as least-undesirable because of our present shortage of bodies. We may need to resort to a third color late in the next two packs to fill in bodies, and white seems least contested.

It wasn't a tie between Center Soul and Island last pick.

Here, some thoughts:
1) We have 3 strong removal spells already, and we are in a color pair that promises us more in that regard.
2) We are in dire need of dudes.
3) Cobra is one of the better non-Rare Black dudes.

Cobra has to be the correct pick here.

Command can get us back a dead dude (as well as force a discard or remove an artifact or a small opposing creature). Except in the exceedingly rare case where we get our commands before we get any dudes, command doesn't hurt our dude count. It gets back our Warbrute or our Aspirant or whatnot.


Ukud Cobra is awesome and on that logic I'd take it ahead of Sarkhan's Rage. But Kolaghan's Command can usually replace itself with a dude with half of its ability, and the other half still gives us card advantage.

More dudes will come. Things aren't dire enough to pass up a great 2-for-1 card that itself helps us keep our dude stream aflowing.

My gripe against Command is that late, two damage is nothing to get excited about; and early, when the damage is very relevant, the return-a-guy mode may be dead. Shatter is sideboard material, and discard has a narrow window where it's anything more than annoyance. If you want great value, you use it for damage+return; otherwise, it's just an overpriced Shock. And in our deck, early dorks are very much irrelevant in the late game, as is two damage. I'd pick the Command over Rage if this was p1p1; but currently, since we already have a Command, IMO Rage does more for us.

Cobra is nice, but not on a level with these two, and we can pass some tier-two removal later in favor of good, aggresive early drops. Cobra is more a UB card than RB; again, IMO.

Damage + discard clearing a morph on turn 3 is strong. And if they have no targets in the late game, you can cast it during their draw step to skip their turn and get a guy back, which is basically insane. It's never weak.

I kind of like having the second command, it will literally totally shock someone. HA HA literally.
But I like Cobra and Rage too.... I think Cobra is the pick given what we have.

Because we already have some nice removal and a Kolaghan's Command (and a Gravepurge, if we were to use it), I think Cobra is the most valuable addition here. The fact that we have means to recur it makes it an even stronger creature.

I haven't voted in this but I have read it the entire way. Kolaghan's Command seems like an easy choice for me. We still have 25 picks left to find bodies, take the great card in our colors.

I mean, that card should just read "2 for 1 target opponent".
