I ignored it because you edited it in.

If you want a deck where Triumph is good go ask mobius for his monogreen.

@DJ, I get card advantage. You can't compare it to MI at all because MI costs two and draws you a card on the turn it's played (unless you're terrible). MI is one of the best cards in my Dimir Unearth deck, it's an awesome card. Triumph is basically trash.

I would argue that no free engine is ever truly trash. It just needs to be in the RIGHT deck.

That deck doesn't exist in D15 and everything I say about a card's usefulness/playability should be taken in that context.

I completely disagree. I'd argue that at the minimum that deck exists in Naya. But, I'd posit that it can exist in any G+ combo, the exception possibly being white, but I doubt it.

Would you ever play it over Garruk's Packleader in a deck with big creatures?

Yes. Or I might even play both. Depends on the deck, and how many 3+ power creatures the deck runs. It also depends on whether there is any reason in the META to mainboard enchantment hate. In this current META, the cheaper enchant is probably safer from removal.

So Packleader eats creature removal but at four toughness he is at the point where opponents have to spend premium removal like Ground Assault which paves the way for your Baneslayer to survive. If you play Triumph then it's safe from removal while the creature that would cause the card draw dies instead.

Sigh, you guys play your Triumphs this is a dead end.

With Triumph in play, he may have to waste ground assault on a 3/3 1 CMC card. Just sayin'

3cmc If you control a creature with the highest power or tied for the highest power, draw a card at the beginning of your turn.

beginning of your turn's upkeep. e.g.: after you untap, and before you draw.

defeat?? I don't think you guys have made a case at all for why that card should be considered good in Naya. That's an awful T3 drop and Naya has business to get to after doing a T3 Cultivate instead of this nonsense.

anyway I'm always thrilled when my opponent drops that card. I think the only time(s) I've found it annoying was when I was already losing badly cuz I couldn't deal with a big creature he/she (that's for you bassoonist) had in play and now that stupid creature is gonna draw cards too. Oh well..at least he didn't drop another huge creature on me.

Quit kissing up to your fellow Canadian.. I'll bet money you haven't even played the card since you didnt even know what it does until we told you. I don't like dropping it on T3... I prefer dropping Thoctar on T3 and Triumph soon after.

What I don't get is how a Flashbacked Think Twice is somehow so super duper awesome for 1 card vs Triumph which can be 3-10 cards.
