Well this is encouraging. Let's hope something happens soon. For now; Vote: Lilan
For the reasons I outlined previously and because they have made no effort to turn up even after prods.

No, but it certainly doesn't help matters. Also, depending on the situation, excessive lurking could be considered a scum tell. It really just depends on context.

My innactivity is a function of me being bad with commitment. You can look at any other game I've played in the past year or two and probably see similar trends.

Popular Pariah would be my top suspect right now. Febb has a hard-on for just killing the most active player every night when he's scum. I think most mafia players would have left numbers alive after offing KoD in the hopes that it would paint him in a bad light. PP's been saying they'll eventually kick it up a gear the entire game but hasn't done that yet. They're the type of person to say that everything they do it intentional, if they are scum they'd probably say that their non-contributiveness was intentional. They're a difficult person for me to read but I don't want them saying that at the end of the game so I'd rather lynch them.

Vote: Popular Pariah

Important Note: Once any town aligned player is voting by two other town aligned players, the mafia will be able to triple hammer them. For this reason, everyone should be careful when placing the second vote on any player.

But I was just about to change my vote to Lilan! Honestly, it was not the being inactive, but the lack of scumhunting. Of course, you did just throw down a vote with reasons.

Vote: Confused

Him and Rubik are scum, or I'll eat my hat. Confused is just being slightly more obvious about it so I'll go for him over Rubik for now.

Rag does make an interesting point on Febb...I may have to re-evaluate my thoughts on him, though when he is around he's still more contributive than half the people here (including myself really), so what I'm actually reading is anecdotal evidence based on player knowledge, except killing the most active player is a rather common thing in this meta nowadays, because there are so few its easy to do so.

So I'm going to chalk this one up to Rag being Rag and stick with my own convictions.

Could you (or anyone else for that matter) post an example of a quicktopic where Febb suggests killing the most active player each night? If so, I think you might have a pretty good case.

Sounds like the glove fits to me.

Unless something else comes up, I'd be willing to get behind a PP wagon. Probably should have gotten rid of him before LyLo, he's been absolutely useless this game.

"absolutely useless" even when compared to garren.

I've reached a new low.

Rubik, you've been no better, and neither have I, why PP specifically? This case smells.

You and I have at least actively pursued cases, even if they were unsuccessful or wrong. I have absolutely zero recollection of PP trying to accomplish anything pro-town this game, the only memory I have of anything he's done this game is him defending "bad players" or something along those lines. He's been nothing but a liability to town this entire game and is the only player (not counting Scarlet) who didn't vote the first day. And yet he's still managed to avoid having a wagon form around him this long.

I'm going to give the thread a re-read and see if I can find anything else that seems scummy from him in retrospect.

See, this is part of what bothers me.

You're going to give the thread a re-read and see if you can find stuff from me that seems scummy.

Anyone notice the issue with that?

If you're actually giving the thread a re-read you shouldn't be focusing on just one player's scuminess. You should be looking at each player's scuminess.

Building cases is fine and all, and I'm sure you can find scuminess on me, but at this point, with the primary active players gone, who can't you find dirt on? It's not the dirt that's the issue, but rather the reactions to the dirt.

Let's look at Lilan for a bit. Bandwagons a bunch, has shoddy reasoning, starts a wagon on me. Of those, none imply scuminess, but are most likely just weird reads. I'll admit, I haven't been the most helpful to town this game, but I've done more than some, less than some, and I don't think it's quite a "fair" thing to tunnel in on me. All that time you are spending on a re-read and you're focusing on 1 specific player. I think emphasizing stuff on me is fine, but looking for stuff on me primarily isn't exactly going to get very far.

As for defending bad players, that's actually irrelevant. The skill level of a player is not a factor on alignment, and if you'd have actually noticed what I had been posting you'd have probably come to a different conclusion. I defended bad players under certain circumstances, not just "bad players". I attempted to refute certain styles of attack that are unfairly leveraged against newer players. It seems a bit fishy for Rag to go after me and you to jump on so quick, but it seems even more so when your case is just trash.

Moreover, I don't actually think that using my viewpoints on lynching active players against me is particularly strong or relevant. First of all, it's not an indication I'm scum, as it's happened in many games I haven't been a part of. I get that as mafia you'd like to create cases, and I get that as town you'd like for it to be that simple, but it really isn't. There are players aware of my viewpoints, and who are smart enough as mafia to use my vocality of a topic against me. This by no means clears me, but analyzing the state of the game should indicate that lynching the active players is a null tell on my part.

Moreover, I'm not actually sure which one is more likely to be scum, Lilan or Rubik. To me, Lilan just reads as Lilan doing things without thinking them through. Rubik, on the other hand, is more decisive and planning, at least from the games I've seen him in, so I think he is more likely mafia than Lilan.

I also don't really act in pro-town ways and tend to do my own thing. That much is true, at least.

OMG, RL sucks. ****, I'm so sorry, y'all don't deserve a terrible person like me in this game.

I agree that PoPa is not the only useless player in this game, and not sure why he's being singled out in LyLo.
