Seriously I'd like to say what the [expletive]. I didn't even realize that Mana Burn was a relevant concept since they took it out of the game.

These are pretty huge impacts to the rules.

Hell yes. All the cards that relied utterly on Mana Burn being a "thing" in order to really work (See: Citadel of Pain, and plenty more) now work again.

Also, they may have just broken Braid of Fire in half.

I could see them making the first change and having mana empty EoT, but putting mana burn back in would probably just confuse newer players.

I don't think there's any "they" involved. It's not on the official WotC site, it's just a fake made by some unknown person.

The only reason it sounds remotely real is that I can't imagine any sane reason for someone to fake it.

If it's a phishing website it was probably faked to get people to log in to what they thought were their wizards accounts, when in reality they were just providing their account credentials to fraudsters. The fake site has a 'Sign in' link that creates a popup requesting username and password that looks just like the wizards.com login window.

The subject matter being so absurd but framed plausibly was to get people like jman to circulate it through social channels to try to get as many people as possible to click through and 'log in' and give up their credentials.

In my defense, I was on mobile, and never got prompted to give a log in for anything.

Them adding in the "mana empties EoT" thing was plausible enough.

So, sorry for sharing a nasty website. Everybody bask in my idiocy.
