With the new trilands I think that 4 colour spider spawning is viable. I will brew a list later but the basics will be

Satyr wayfinder
Necromancer assistant
Sultai Soothsayer
Seance
Spider spawning
Think twice
Lab maniac
Craterhoof behemoth
Rune-scarred demon
Sheoldred
Shadowborn demon

And probably treasure find.

Your deck is vicious in X1 mp.

I'll get around to upgrading one of these days.

Got an update with the new Khan Lands?

Monk, I'd be interested in seeing this concoction...I have thought of the same shell, mostly, but I am not certain it'll have enough creatures to make it worth it though. Mana though, is no longer as much of an issue as it once was.

Looks good but I may try and drop cultivate, cloudshift and rescue from the underworld for more creatures.

Concur...26 creatures makes Spiders/Seance' a little more consistent.

Monk that looks nice. I think I would swap 2 think twice for 2 wall of omens. Think twice is really there for maniac, you generally won't have the mana to spend on 4 copies.

Here is my maniac seance build.

[manapie 90 w u b -r g][/manapie]

Maniac

A deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (23 :creature: , 13 :instant: , 24 :land:)

Creature23 cards
■■■
Hedron Crab0/2
■■■■
Satyr Wayfinder1/1
■■■
Wall of Omens0/4
■■
Laboratory Maniac2/2
■■■■
Necromancer's Assistant3/1
■■■■
Archaeomancer1/2
Vengevine4/3
Shadowborn Demon5/6
■■■
Sultai Soothsayer2/5
■■
Rune-Scarred Demon6/6
Spell13 cards
■■■■
Fog
■■■■
Peel from Reality
■■■■
Think Twice
■■■
Treasured Find
■■
Séance
■■
Planar Cleansing
Land24 cards
■■■
Arcane Sanctum
■■■
Opulent Palace
■■■
Sandsteppe Citadel
■■■
Seaside Citadel
4
Forest
3
Island
3
Plains
2
Swamp

Not sure about the vengevine but it is relatively easy to trigger its ability and it does not cost any mana. Peel from reality has been great as an early tempo play that gets extra land / mill from satyrs, later on you can establish a soft lock with Archaeomancer. I often am sitting on very little board, waiting for my opponent to extend enough for me to wipe the board, so I like fog as a backup in case I miscalculate my clock, it is also pretty easy later on once I have milled most of my deck to cast fog several turns in a row while I am milling myself.

Planar cleansing also puts all of my creatures in the GY, making seance better afterwards.

I do think my build would probably benefit from spider spawning, but I haven't played a build that runs both spawning and seance. I guess they could work out, but I am worried that I might find myself in a situation where they are at cross-purposes.

I had came to the same conclusion on think twice and I had been losing games to some of the more aggressive decks. Planar cleansing has helped with that problem. I have updated the deck above.

Edit - Henwen. Spider spawning is only bad if you managed a turn 4 seance or have double seance. But you are winning those games anyway. Spawning is extremely strong when you don't hit a seance and it buys you infinite time.

I think you are right about spawning, I can cut vengevine and my 2nd maniac easily, not sure what to cut for the third spawning, maybe I will go down to 1 fog.

Doesn't sheoldred feel too slow here? She does nothing with seance, and although she can gain a lot of board advantage over several turns, my games tend to end pretty quickly.

No way sheoldred should be in this deck. IMO. (I'll think more about it tomorrow, by I can't imagine why she'd make the cut)

She has been ok, but nothing special. I am so used to jamming her into all off the black decks with demon.

She is good after a cleansing but is probably too slow. Any thoughts for a spicy 1 of that I can add?

Obelisk is also slow. I would take Griselbrand over Sheoldred honestly. Or if you want to be more defensive, the lifegain angel, forget her name.

Yeah resolute. If you have seance I don't think you need the card draw. I like Grisel in decks loaded with removal, so if any creatures are threatening your life total you can draw the cards to kill them. Self mill decks like this don't need Grisel IMO.

I was thinking about archangel. I need to test sheoldred a bit more first. She can be good on an empty board and if she survives for a turn or 2 can get back demons.

What do you guys think of 1 warden of the eye?

Is the Laboratory Maniac really needed? I yet have to mill myself entirely, usually I just win by spawning, craterhoof or just big creatures. I guess it's a nice insurance in case you mill yourself too fast and don't get the other pieces together.
What do you think about the all-time-favourite Pelakka Wurm? With Seance and Sheoldred, Whispering One that's a lot lifegain.
I wouldn't cut Sheoldred, Whispering One. She's slow, but when not taken care of she's just a win, especially when you can pick what you need at the moment from your graveyard.
I would replace Think Twice with Wall of Omens it's a blocker and you can get 2 cards of it too.

I dunno if it's really needed but it would be nice to have some removal in the form of Dead Reckoning but I know that there's just not enough space to jam it in.

The lab maniac and think twice package are very important vs the grindy control decks. You need think twice, it is important to draw a card at instant speed when you land lab maniac. From testing you have enough enter the battlefield effects for seance without the extra wall of omens.

However if you are winning without that package by all means add 3 wall of omens in that slot.
