Watched The Last - Naruto movie recently, gotta say, the moment when the couple I supported all along become 'official' is heartwarming.

Oh, and when Naruto gets a love story, an end-of-the-world plot has to be in there somewhere too. Heh.

Kekkai Sensen and Plastic Memories seem pretty cool, in their own ways.

I must say, this season is not very promising.

The disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan
Spin-off of Haruhi. Seems to be a romance/school life/comedy thing between Yuki and Kyon. I already intended on watching this, so I'll continue. I also like how most of the other main players of Haruhi have already shown up in more or less important ways.

Shy girl wants to join a rock club, but gets sucked in a music game instead where she is a legendary hero (though she doesn't realize it yet).
Had no idea what to expect. The CGI was really, really weird (if I was high it would've been sooo good probably). But I was sold when I heard some familiar voices (Shinku, Gaul and Charl from DD'' were the three I immediately recognized).
Also kemonomimi in the music game and thus, also the series. So yeah, that's a thing.
At least 4 eps to see where it goes.

It's also a kemonomimi show that has 2 distinct art styles (CGI during the battles, but at least it's better than SbR), but that's where the comparison with Show by Rock ends.

I'm not even sure how to explain this one.
A cat god wants to get in the chinese Zodiac, but lacks the brain capacity to do stuff seriously. Or something like that.
The rat is the bad girl (she's the reason the cat didn't get in the Zodiac) and half of the other Zodiac girls are depressed because they never get named whenever someone is asked to list all the animals.
Perhaps it'll become clearer after some more episodes, but I'm on the fence with this one. It's a bit of everything so far. And nothing really stands out.
The thing I remember most, even though I just watched the ep, is how the cat god resembled Haruhi in a small picture I saw on 4chan a few days ago. And if that's the best thing I can remember, that usually doesn't bode well unless the show will pick up.

Personally, I like this season. Much comedy, much season 2 like Nisekoi, Kirino and Yahari Ore (And UBW ofc). Getting the Chobits kinda feel from Plastics Memories. Re-kan~~ hmm, I am sensing feels-trap hidden beneath the comedy tag. I like Etotama, has the random crazy vibe humor thing going. Show by Rock is interesting enough so far.

I'm starting to watch the "last season" a bit. I can't stand to watch something one episode at a time when there are so many other things with material already.

Congratulations last season. You did it. You finally did it. Rosario X Vampire is now no longer the bottom of the barrel when it comes to too much fan-service in an anime.

I believe that honor belongs to Zero's Familiar Season 3. Or would, if that were a thing that actually happened and not a collective fever dream >_>.

Because the first two seasons are goddamned amazing. Which would make it even stupider if they abandoned all character development in favor of fanservicey BS. So it's a good thing there are only two seasons <_<.

I am at episode six now. Good enough and improving. I liked the Neo Nazi episodes.

Black Lagoon experiences a sharp decline in quality with season 2. By the end, it's fallen back on tired anime cliches and somehow managed to bring a high school student into it.

I'm just heavily bothered by how nearly everything happens in the weekend, Saturday in particular. I usually have a show I want to watch each day a season, but this one is nearly a complete drought.

Have you considered saving episodes for later in the week?

I still have lots of anime that I haven't watched, so I don't see why I would do such a thing.
But it's nice to have something pace the show for you. If I get excited about something completed, I just binge watch it and throw away my life for the day.

So, I have this problem. For anime I'm not terribly invested in, I often stop around episode 10 or 14 or so. The premise has been established, a lesser but not minor conflict has been resolved, and the best pairing is obvious. At and around this point, anime starts to slip into contrived situations, shadowy figures looming omenously, and the main character wears out his welcome with random precision and preposterous amounts of indecision/self doubt.
There's some quality of formulaicness that is present in things like nisekoi, high school dxd, kancolle, sword art online, etc that somehow is absent or offset in durarara, bakemonogatari, k-on, etc.
It's frustrating to be pulled in by a cool or cute premise, then have it be slowly worn down into a generic harem or action show.

Too bad. I was liking the characters and some of the jokes are smart, like "Maid to Kill". But for an action anime, it is definitively missing the action. Only show the gun barrel spilling bullets does not make a great action scene and most action scenes resume to this.
