has there been any consideration to adding new mods? I just checked and Kiki-Jiki's modnouncement was almost a year ago and the only other GobO I'm aware of since then is Guff who wasn't doing moderation and may not exist anymore anyway. I ask because a recent set of incidents in General has reminded me, again, that the mod response time in those areas is measurable in days, which is non-ideal. I respect you all and I appreciate the work you do, but I think it might be time to get a few extra pairs of hands, especially since, as was established earlier in this thread, neither of the YMtC mods are actually YMtCers, negating the point of having locally embedded moderators. (although, to be fair, squinty has recently started to return.)

Yeah, sorry about that. I'm trying to keep more of an eye on it, but just recently found the time to check in and read over the complaints. I'll do my best to keep on top of it in the future. As far as new mods are concerned..... no idea what the other mods are thinking.

Looking for additional help is indeed something I'm considering; you're right that a response time of days is definitely not something we want.

You didn't get the job because you'd outshine all the other mods and turns out a workforce that's jealous doesn't get much work done so they'd end up revolting and we'd get an awkward takeover ending in your demise.

So it's in your best interest not to be a mod.

No seriously. I nominate Razorborne for mod. Here on a daily basis, obviously cares a great deal, is a part of a large number of communities on the site, and is not prone to drunk posting in the off topic room or getting in trouble in any other sort of fashion. Also makes a decent effort to post intelligently whenever possible (unless the joke is the point). Why wouldn't you make a good mod?
