Hey, I don't mean to be rude but I've been playtesting this deck all morning and I can't even eek out a single win. I've even been playing against some of firebead's decks so that's really saying something.

I'm not sure which part of the combo is dropping the ball but I have a feeling it's the swamp.


On a happier front, I'm only 18-19 wins away from finally getting that elusive Champion title and persona on Xbox One. Even though I unlocked the achievement hundreds of wins ago. This console can be funny sometimes and not funny haha I mean.

as long as the land has one of your mana symbols the builder will let you pick it without adding the color to your deck type it's only when you want the basics/spells for that color that you have to add it

Now I'm sure you are a liar; all my builds are carefully playtested so that none of them can beat another. So every games should have always ended in a draw: I call shenanigans!

This black deck I put together did rather well and would like to share, see below. The theme is 'Skeletons and Zombies'.
Constructed this deck around Death Baron. Like the death touch ability it gives to all zombies and skeletons.
Some highlights, the Drudge Skeletons regenerating abilities makes it a good early blocker. When paired with Death Baron, gives it death touch on top of regeneration.
If Graveborn Muse becomes too problematic, can sacrifice it to Corpse Blockade. And if a player attempts to Act of Treason one of my creatures, can sacrifice it to Corpse Blockade.
Was thinking about replacing a card and a land with Cobbled Wings, get some flying ability early on? Have not gotten around to it yet.

So I'm trying to fill out my decks a little before the games lifespan is officially over. Started with the easy mono-coloured junk because why not. So here's my mono-black pile.



Game plan is simply enough. Drop your skeletons/zombies, throw down a couple of lords and hide behind a wall of necrotic deathtouch'ed flesh until one of your big flying bombs turns up to wreck house or until your pile of undead becomes simply too big to handle. Seems pretty solid. Thoughts?

Gonna do some play time to really iron out how I would run it.

Connoisseur is there bc she's a Vampire.. so that's another Highborn trigger, and another auto-win combo enabler. Guul Draz didn't do much of anything for me. If anything the deck could use some bigger bodies.. maybe cut the Cruel Sadists and the Paragons for some beef. I haven't tooled with that deck in awhile.

When I was testing Beast's deck, I had Guul in the Sadist slot (especially since the deck has a lot of self plink) but the death touch trick w/ Sadist was an interesting idea for sure.

and Beast is right, the only reason to carry Connoisseur is the vampire theme.

I had play tested it a fair amount and had posted some thoughts up about it. Regardless it's a fairly solid deck and was fun to play. Hard to believe Beast built it

Maybe some Flesh to Dust so you don't need to roll over and cry everytime a random Baneslayer hits the field?

Let's see. 7 1 drops, 7 2 drops, 7 3 drops, 8 4 drops, 3 5 drops, 3 7 drops, and an 8 drop; plus 24 lands

21 + 8 + 6 + 1 = 36; Yeah i just forgot to put in the 3 flesh for dust and now apparently I can't count OR I'm going blind.

I'd personally do:

-2 Paragon
-3 Viscera Dragger

+3 Galvanic Juggernaut (your first real body.. good with all the instant speed removal)
+1 Swamp (you need.to hit your.land drops.for.all.those.bombs)
+1 Shadowborn
