I thought that was part of the reason we had switched originally? Dang Wizards.

it was. but then Wizards gave the site we were using a Cease and Desist so now we're back.

I still think we should be on magiccards.info though.

the word filter doesn't seem to catch **** if it's in a hyphenated phrase.

Can you delete my MaestroPetite account? I don't have time to flesh out an alter-ego at the moment.

As a result of trying to use a non-standard text symbol in post or signature (For example the hearts here: http://www.alt-codes.net/heart_alt_code.php)
I don't have a strong need for the support, but I figured it's worth mentioning.

But what if you want a broken heart, or a heart fruit, or a ribboned heart.
WHAT THEN

I usually use <3
Edit: I guess not, since it's a dumb smiley.

I think I did something wrong when trying to move a thread, because now I can't enter the moderator's control panel to edit the M:EM subforum without getting this message:

Quote:
This topic has been deleted.

It doesn't give me any options. No "return to last forum/thread visited", no "okay", no "dismiss", no nothing. I tried going on another browser and got the same message. I tried clearing my cookies for this site and refreshing, then tried again. I still can't do it. This is important for the functionality of the M:EM, so I'd like to get this cleared ASAP, please.

(To be clear, I can still edit individual posts, but I can't do threads from the forum view.)

That is... very odd. I see the same thing. Looking into it now.

OK, your MCP should be back. The root cause was a check in the soft-delete mod that seems very wrong to me. I believe the fix I made makes sense, and the MCP is back, so.

If you have any issues, please let me know.

I'm not sure if this is caused by whatever caused that problem but now there's two threads in the M:EM subforum with [ Soft Deleted ] next to their names that do appear to have been soft deleted. One of them can be clicked on, allowing you to see a reply Raven made to the original post. I... assume that shouldn't be happening.

That's trippy. At best, it looks like I'm commenting on nothing. At worst, it looks like I'm meta-criticizing my own post in an M. C. Escheresque self-referential Gordian knot.

Also, that sentence was fun to construct...

I can report being able to see soft deleted threads, without being a mod.

They are, however, invisible to logged-out users, if that helps with finding the problem.

I think things are good now -- the MCP is visible, and the [soft deleted] posts don't appear unless you should be able to see them.

hey Welder just wanted to make sure you saw this thread. also why do we have it set so you have to post before you can add a signature anyway? I guess it stops new people from like setting their sig to something obscene and posting everywhere, but they can just post that obscene thing everywhere anyway so what do we really gain?
