Dog Days Saturday:
And the new character for Galette is revealed. A young bunny prince that has a crush on Leo and fights with a crossbow in one hand and a sword in the other.
Got taught his skills by Leo and is already way stronger than most of the other 'strongest men' who dared Leo to a match to marry her.
He was also added to the ED. That was a nice touch. And the title to episode 7 implies he sticks around.

ef - the first tale (visual novel) didn't really impress me. I had pretty high hopes because of the anime, but the choices were boring and it left out the most impactful moments of the show. Also, the MC had no voice, which is most certainly a crime, because Hiro Shimono was one of the reasons I picked up the anime in the first place.
Outrageous.

I should probably state that I only played the first route, because the other ones don't interest me all that much.
Maybe it would have been more interesting if I made the wrong choice at some point, but the only time I wanted to act like a rational being instead of doing the correct choice turned out to be rather uneventful.
Guys.
I just hit my Angel Beats grind.
Comfort me.

You just watched the wrong ending. :v

Dog Days update:

So the new Galette-aligned character is a young bunny prince with a childhood crush on Leomichelle. He's also distantly related to Vert.
He is kinda OP seeing how he already can almost get Leo to lose her clothes and ties to Nanami.
Turns out he was introduced to make a new character who is interested in the history of the land, so there can be more backstory about the origin of the Hero King and the lands before the countries united (it also showed what the deal is with Brioche D'Arquien who seemingly lived a long time).

And this week the final arc started with the return of Horse Girl who senses something wrong with Kyogre the mythical creature that controls the skies, the Sky Whale. Heroes + Genoise + Gaul + Yuki/Rico go with Sharu to investigate flying on Ho-Oh a fire dragon. Ofc they get sucked in by Kyogre the giant whale and half of the party (Shinku + harem Yuki/Rico/Rebecca/Sharu) find the mythical Sky Priestess after she killed a bunch of demons and is covered in their blood. She's a giantess leopard who fights with brass knuckles and has an ara ara~ voice.
Also, Gaul gets a new mute waifu who rescues him from drowning inside Kyogre the whale's body. He and his harem Genoise + Nanami + bunny prince go ahead to find Ho-oh the fire dragon who also got lost.

-----------------
Anyway, with this all new characters from the OP have finally been revealed.
Looks like there will be no normal war in this season but we'll be ending the season with a demon attack plot instead, similar to season 1 but with a bit less drama.
On a side note, holy crap those environment shots are amazing (for a show of this caliber). There are rumors that the series gets given to different talented animators to show off their skills and with the various levels of quality this season I'm inclined to believe those rumors.

Spoiler

I'm not really sure who your audience is since people who watch Dog Days probably already know this and the rest would like to avoid the spoilers, presumably.

Which is a strange statement for me to say, since I've become curious about this bunny person. I can't find him on MAL, but I would like to know his VA and how prominent he is. Maybe I can endure two-and-a-half season if he can justify it.

First of all:
Yeah, I know I'm kinda hypocritical with my statement against mjack and then posting this <_<
And I don't think shows like DD are watched for the plot anyway. They're watched for having fun.
Kinda like Samurai Pizza Cats back in the day. You know how it's going to end. You're just in it for the ride.

As for the bunny (Leaf Lang du Sha Halver):
He just got introduced in ep 6 of season 3. He's of course fairly prominent in the episode that introduced him (a marriage game for Leo where she kicks the asses of all her would-be suitors until cloaked bunny comes in.
Spoiler

And the episode after that he gets shown around the 3 countries and has a training match with one of the heroes.
He also joins the rescue mission starting this arc, but is so far only used to shoot his crossbow at demons and locate someone with his ears.

His VA is Fumiko Orikasa

That's not a boy.
Although sneak peeking at the episode, his voice wasn't all that bad.

Saekano is really good.

I have started watching Princess Tutu through Hulu. I'm six episodes in and, really, even if it wasn't building up to something obviously bigger than presented thus far, I think I would still like it.

I am not an anime enthusiastic fan. But there are phases that I watch a lot until I enter in dormant state again. It took me almost a year to finish Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and I liked the anime a lot, one of the best I watched.

I don't have time nor patience to watch very long animes (Fullmetal was over the top of my disposition), or animes that are not the best of the genre.

Mostly I prefer horror and thriller.

My best animes, and I am only telling this so anyone can know what my taste exactly is.

Spoiler

I am currently watching Code Geass. Can anyone offer a suggestion of what I can watch now or point a place where I can find a good list?

I'll take a stab and say that you'll probably like Mirai Nikki, Death Parade and Fate/Zero.

Thanks. Reviews are very divided on these animes, making it hard to make a decision on what to watch.

No, it doesn't count, but I watched it already 10 times. My daughter simply loves it. :D

Since you mostly seem to like gore (or as you put it, "horror"), I'll suggest Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, also known by its horrible English name When They Cry. It's more of a mystery, and kind of low-quality in terms of animation, but it has fantastic pacing and a neat storytelling method.

I do count it, but it's not applicable to what True_Believer was asking for.

Speaking of which, if you don't mind a bit of Western animation, I'd also suggest Over The Garden Wall for its ye olde faerie tale aesthetic. It was... I think four episodes long? Maybe five? So, less than three hours.

It passes that impression, but no, it is not gore that I like. I just don't mind it. What I really like are mature themes and good plots, even if confused. Too bad it is almost impossible to achieve one without the other, this seems to be the truth.

For example reading some reviews I know for certain Highschool of the Dead is not a candidate. But Planetes seems to be a good candidate.

"Mature themes" is probably a good phrase to use. I don't think any of those you listed really fall under the category of "horror" -- though I will admit that I've only seen Attack on Titan, Death Note, and FMA:B of that list -- but honestly I wouldn't have considered putting High School of the Dead with them, either. I suppose I'm on the same wavelength, though it surprised me a while back when I found myself liking a couple of very gory anime, first the aforementioned Higurashi, then later Deadman Wonderland (another one that I wouldn't have considered suggesting because it's not much more than a gory show with a kind of average shounen plot {though it has bigger faults and was kind of a good series while it lasted...}).

If you want my two cents, I never did see the appeal of Black Lagoon even though it's wonderfully animated. It's mostly just not my cup of tea, I think -- not fantastical enough. I've been meaning to watch and/or read Mirai Nikki (AKA Future Diary) ever since learning of the concept, and what clips I've seen of it makes it look very dark and intense.

Yeah, probably is. Well some on that list have some horror elements, but only Elfen Lied is truly horror, cutesy horror, but horror nonetheless.

Yeah, I read some reviews of Black Lagoon and I think I will like it. Probably I will watch it or the before mentioned Planetes.

Dog Days'' ep 11

"Hey guys, we need our idol heroine that gives concerts in the previous seasons/eps to sing a song that fixes problems. Anyone has an idea?"
"How about lalalala for a few minutes?"
"Brilliant!"

At least the backstory and main fight was alright given the theme of this season.

Lately I stopped a little with games and movies; and turned my attention to TV series and animes, I don't need to mention books, because it is my all time favorite pastime. I made a push to finish the last chapters of Code Geass. I will not make a review about it, but I want to comment a little.

Very good anime, just not the best for my taste. I am not into mecha and the anime never clicked with me until the final chapter, only then it clicked at the very end. The end is amazing, but the journey until there is good, but not the best possible in my opinion. They could have explored characters interactions and sufferings way better.

Code Geass is, to me, a show in which the ending MADE the show. When I first saw it, the first arc was pretty nice (Lelouche becoming Zero and all), but it all started to wear away and by the second season it was not only stale but getting ridiculous. The ending though, made me very, very happy with the series.
