I don't see the problem, but then again, I'm the only person that has voted for it.

I see a couple viable decks for Knowledge Pool, but the format doesn't interest me. Anarchy is fine, you just end up with Round 1 of the vanishing 3CM. So a bunch of chancellor and some lab maniac and some lands. Medallion enables a ton of storm shennanigans. I'm not a huge fan of most alt rounds. 5 card Monty was absurd though

I would play Advantageous Proclamation/[]/[] in Anarchy.

Unexpected Potential was the conspiracy in both decks placing #1 and #2. Turns out there's a reason Blue and White don't have Spirit Guides - turn-0 Force Spikes / Mana Tithes are kinda strong. As is being able to play both Funeral Charm and Meddling Mage off the same Black Lotus.

I took another gamble on an outside meta possibility this turn instead of playing an all-around solid deck, there's one card I'm specifically worried about showing up a lot. Curious how it'll go.

My question is: will we see more or less Channex this round? Also, what is the best Channex Deck?

There is no predictable best because they all have their weaknesses and the 'best' is just the one whose weakness is the least frequently exploited by the decks people submit.

If there was one that was perceived to be the best it would be the one people would play the best-defenses against and that version instantly wouldn't be the best anymore.

I expected about the same disbursement of Channex and Wasteland. I expect less Wasteland vulnerable alternatives. I'm curious is creature removal (or "removal") will be heavier, but Gut Shot just seems like a solid play.

The problem with this round is that the alternate "power" decks you could choose (like dual storage) are hampered by BOTH Channex and Wasteland. If you try out the double Lotus, you lose to Channex (and given its success last round, I expect people to be playing Channex for free wins). If you try out the single lotus, you have options that can beat both lotus and wasteland, so you'll probably see a lot of that. (Also, I think it's basic RPS psychology that everyone tries to beat what just won)

You're other options of non-reactive play are basic land decks. Discard may be an option, but I couldnt think of anything really worth playing over other known decks.

The more I think about it...I think Channex use will probably decrease given Gut Shot and Wasteland success, and the fact that Shot is so efficient against the cheap threats trying to out-play Channex. Sooooo, probably fighting against Lotus, Channex hate, Threat moreso than any deck...which means Double Lotus is still probably viable

I decided that'd I'd rather submit something fun than metagame this week. I already have a loss because of it, but oh well.

As for the Medallion format, I haven't found a first turn infinite combo yet, so I'm sad.

I got a pretty solid deck for Medallion. Turn 1 Infinite is an illegal deck isn't it. Needs to wait till turn two otherwise it can win before the opponent can play.

Edit: You could do Su-Chi...but it doesn't really do anything but make an unremovable Su-Chi.

Not if you make infinite non-hasty creatures turn one. Then you don't win until turn 2.

helix pinnacle is the classic solution to this problem. you make infinite mana, at least one of it green, then play pinnacle, give it a billion counters, and wait a turn.
