This is the first of (hopefully) many weekly contests designed to increase interest in Card of the Week. As there were only 3 entries last week, I thought that next week needed to not be such a disaster. So the top two finishers of the weekly contests will be my nominations for card of the week each week. The contest will be open until about an hour or two before the voting period ends each week (so probably 5pm Pacific on Saturday at the latest) to give me time to decide which cards to nominate.

Rules: Submit a card that meets the criteria
Grading Scale: None. I just decide which cards I like more

Criteria: Design a legendary creature.
Round Ends: November 2nd (Saturday)

Jacarious, Page Maker :2::u::u:
Legendary Creature-Human Wizard
:u::t:: Reveal the top card of your library. If it is an instant or sorcery card, draw 3 cards.
And he made history from his imagination.

Elskah, Lifelance Hydra
Legendary Creature - Hydra
Trample, Hexproof
When ~ enters the battlefield, put two times X +1/+1 counters on ~.
0/0

The "When ~ enters the battlefield" vs "~ enters the battlefield with" is purposeful.

Everything but the Rain
Legendary Creature - Elemental

Haste, trample, deathtouch, lifelink
At the beginning of your end step, sacrifice ~.

It is life and it is death, a primal being of nature's instinct. What it solely lacks is the calming touch of rain.

6/1

Legendary Creature - Human Warrior
Creatures aren't Legendary.
It was only by insisting that no one was special did he become so.

A little unsure of the wording on that one.

You may want it to say "The "legend rule" doesn't apply to creatures."

seems best to keep it as is, so it cuts off legendary-matters effects. I'm not sure about the legality of the wording myself though.

Can we post cards we posted elsewhere on the boards here if we think they're worthy of consideration? If so, I would like to make Timmy very happy.
Spoiler

Vchai Nehl, The Mirrored Mask
Legendary Creature - Human Assassin
, : Vchai Nehl becomes a copy of target legendary creature until end of turn. Gain control of that creature until end of turn.
2/3
A reflection is a compelling thing; it is all too tempting to try to touch what should only be an image.

I initially went for that, but the desired effect was that there was no legendary instead of just being able to play more legendaries.

Haste, Provoke
After each of your pre-combat main phase, there is an additional combat phase. Creatures you control other than ~ can't attack during this additional combat phase.
~ has hexproof, first strike and ": ~ can't be blocked until end of turn." during additional combat phases.

Malakat the Standardizer

Legendary Creature - Elf Wizard
Each other creature's power is equal to Makalat the Standardizer's power. The same is true for toughness.
:1:: Malakat gets -1/-0 until end of turn
:1:: Malakat gets +1/+0 until end of turn
:1:: Malakat gets -0/-1 until end of turn
:1:: Malakat gets +0/+1 until end of turn

Don't forget people, the point of this thread is to find something to nominate (like say a certain somebody's Timmyriffic masterpiece with interesting costing decisions). So far only one card from here's actually gotten the nod.
