Hey guys need some advice on my.. well I don't know what kind of deck it really is

[manapie 90 -w -u b r -g][/manapie]

It all adds up

A deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (22 :creature: , 14 :instant: , 24 :land:)

Cost 10 cards
■■■■
Goblin Arsonist1/1
■■■■

■■■
Brain Maggot1/1
■■■■

Cost 13 cards
■■■

■■

■■■■

■■■■

Basic idea is to zap all your opponents early game creatures, and plenty of kill spells for those you can't pick off (the big ones later). Win cons are always changing, it's a very strange deck. I sort of rely on little 1/1s to just add the damage up over many turns. I tried wrecking ogre as finisher but didn't like it.

I built this because lately on steam it's all about young pyromancer, brain maggot and of course the plethora of potent weenies the game already had. shock and anger of the gods have taken a back seat lately on steam, so I wasn't scared to lump all my little annoying guys together.

It is an underwhelming deck on paper, but it works :S people don't expect blister beetle or cunning sparkmage as they literally do not see play on steam.

I would LOVE some advice on this deck. You guys can see the direction I'm trying forge here, and it isn't bad, but it could use.. something more.

I'll just add, don't write this deck off too quickly. Look at it closely. It really does all add up, most times the opponent has a grave full of all his broken dreams while you just keep swinging each turn for one or two, zap with mage, etc.

Not sure how I feel about Flesh to Dust, being as expensive (read:slow) as it is.

How often does Shadowborn Demon get to stick around and be more than just removal? Honestly curious, you don't have any GY interaction to support him, but you also have plenty of cards like Blister Beetle and Goblin Arsonist which you likely don't mind saccing to him.

How has Maniacal Rage been working out for you? It sticks out to me as being somewhat odd here. I am not sure if the deck really wants them or not. I can see how it could help push pressure early on by making your creatures bigger. That said, this list feels a bit more controlling to me and if you end up playing a lot of games where you are on the back foot I don't think it really does too much to help you.

I will say though. This deck looks like it is a direct answer to a meta full of tokens and I feel like it could put in a LOT of work against those types of decks.

Also, no Shock?

I think flesh as a 2 of is good here. I do agree however about the rage feeling odd here as it does really feel like a control deck.

btw beeswax this is probably my favorite deck creation I have seen from you.

I think a good addition instead of the 2xmaniacal rage could be 2xbanefire as a finisher/extra removal.

Thanks for the advice guys, its definitely a work in progress, so far:

-2 maniacal rage
-2 phyrexian rager

+2banefire
+2suffer the past

really needed some finishers.. also @eon, I have been using dead weight as my shock as it seems more versatile with the deck, I can enchant a larger creature if nothing else and then wait for another auger spree or something, it buys me time rather than later on sitting on a shock that'll do nothing

I do like shock of course, just not sure what to give up for it. Also been thinking today this basic deck theme of anti aggro, whilst providing your own aggro, fits well in mardu

I guess it is a control deck with all these kill spells. Im having a lot of fun "introducing" this to the meta, cunning sparkmage should / could make a resurgence and I'm loving the overlooked blister beetle who often does the job of a shock, and remains on the board

Unlike Dead Weight, with Shock you have a chance to kill Hero of Iroas or other pest as it dons Nimbus Wings or other similar crap. 2 for 1. With Dead Weight you might not even have a chance to kill it in a 1-for-1 fashion if they cast the creature and the aura during the same turn. So, I'd play Shock here, but I admit I haven't played this deck yet. I think turbo-Hoof is the best strategy in the current metagame, so been playing that lately...

I would also opt for shocks as 4 of and remove the ulcerates for dead weights. I don't like suffer, it's always been too situational for my tastes personally.

4 shocks and 3 dead weights have always done a solid job of early removal for me in my End of Days build.

And dropping the ulcerates I would encourage working in the 2 muses.

So as of now I wanna see the 2x suffers become muses

4x shocks instead of 4x dead weights

atleast 2 deadweights replace ulcerate

and I want the 2 phrexian ragers back. With the 4 of those and 2 muses that generally makes a decent draw engine. Maybe the two of them instead of 2 of the augre spree

I made a deck for the "Insult to Injury" achievement (Sacrifice a creature you don’t own), but also in Multiplayer games it works well.
You have some advice?

I play a Rakdos sacrifice a fair amount - it was the first deck I created for the game back in July, and I love it. My advice would be to include 4x Portent of Betrayal since it will make the deck perform far more consistently. I'm not a fan of Raid Bombardment here given you only have 8 creatures that can trigger it (I'm not including the Bloodflow Connosieur in that equation since it will rarely attack as a 1/1 unless there's an empty board).

I also don't think you need 15 sac outlets. I think you could easily cut 3 (some combo of Bloodflow Connosieur or Devouring Swarm) in favor of one of the better removal spells in the game- Auger Spree.

The weakest part of sac and steal decks is they run out of steam quickly, so I think including 2 Graveborn Muse is also pretty important. I like it better than Kallistra Highborn here.

I really believe sac/steal is best kept at a minimum and left as a sub-theme.

Oh i missclicked, the 4x Raid Bombardment should be 4x Portent of Betrayal.
Thanks for the rest, i will test it.

Been tearing people new ones with this all night. It works marvelously, good job Bees. I've replaced Dead Weights with Shocks and Maniacal Rages plus 2 lands with 4x Phyrexian Rager, though. This deck occasionally fails to fly and dies to Pelakka Wurms or other fat, but not very often. I've had some very satisfying wins against Self Mill/Spawning (2x Suffer the Past lol), a Selesnya midgrange deck (can't do jack against Stormbreath), and an RDW. Favorite card: Brain Maggot. Boy does it make sure evil plans go smoothly. Running people over with the Rabblemaster feels dirty, though, so I think I'm done with this deck for a while.

Hey guys. :)

Wanted to build a deck around Galvanic Juggernaut, and was thinking Rakdos might be the best colors for it. I went with just because of Burning Anger and the insane synergy it has with Galvanic Juggernaut, and so I could try to tutor for them if I got to the late game.

I got the idea from an old deck in the Izzet-thread, which is one of my all-time favourite decks in DotP 2015, and definitely better than my version.

But going into Rakdos, and deciding that I wanted Burning Anger, I figured I could might aswell build it around a heroic-shell. And then it slowly morphed into a Rakdos version of my Mardu "First-Touch" deck. So, it pulls in alot of different directions, and feels a little unfocused. It's also EXTREMELY cluttered around the mark.

Anyway, here it is:

[manapie 90 -w -u b r -g][/manapie]

Electronic Supersonic Heroic Galvanic

A deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (18 :creature: , 18 :instant: , 24 :land:)

Cost 4 cards
■■■■
Krenko's Command
Cost 18 cards
■■
Agent of the Fates3/2
■■■■
Giant Scorpion1/3
■■■■
Act of Treason
■■■
Blasting Station
■■■
Galvanic Arc
■■■■
Lightning Talons
Cost 8 cards
■■■
Brood Keeper2/3
■■■
Galvanic Juggernaut5/5
■■
Ogre Battledriver3/3
Cost 3 cards
Stormbreath Dragon4/4
■■
Burning Anger
Cost 2 cards
■■
Rune-Scarred Demon6/6
Cost 1 card
Utvara Hellkite6/6
Land24 cards
■■
Crumbling Necropolis
■■■■
Rakdos Guildgate
■■
Savage Lands
8
Mountain
9
Swamp

Krenko's Command. This is pretty much default if you're gonna build a deck with Galvanic Juggernaut and Blasting Station. Overall decent card that can buy you some time, and untap your Juggernaut by chumping or being sacced with Blasting Station. If you disable auto-resolution, you can cast it with Blasting Station already on the board as a shock/mini-Cone of Flame.

Agent of the Fates
Amazing card in its own right, and I simply felt obligated to include him here. The amount of synergy he has with the first strike enchantments is absolutely ridiculous. Though, he is a removal-magnet, and it hurts alot to lose him. Especially when you've invested enchantments on him. But overall great value card.

Giant Scorpion
Basically filler. I've almost never seen anyone else use this card, but I absolutely love him. Although he still falls to Anger, the 3T is actually really amazing in this meta. He could have been though. But that would have been a bit too unbalanced. :P Give him first strike, and like Agent; suddenly he's a huge threat to your opponents' attack plans. Worst case scenario, your opponent ends up spending removal on a creature no-one really wants to spend removal on.

Act of Treason
It's kind of an inconsistent card, and can sometimes just be a dead draw. I include it mainly for the fun factor. But with Blasting Station on the board, the utility of it can potentially be game changing, and can completely reverse an unfavourable board.

Blasting Station
Already explained by Krenko's and Treason. It's main job is to untap the Juggernaut, but it's a fairly flexible card that can give you some value if your opponent f.ex spend removal on your creatures.

Lightning Talons
Great value card in this deck. The first strike is amazing with the deathtouch creatures, and the +3/+0 can be a huge deal if you get it on a flyer. Or in ungodly cases of good luck: on a Burning Angered Juggernaut.

Galvanic Arc
The 5th copy of Lightning Talons. Well, I realize they're quite different cards, and that Galvanic Arc could actually be the better choice here. Guaranteed burn damage is often better than a +3/+0.. I might switch this and Lightning Talons, but not quite sure yet. Would actually like the full pack of both maybe?

Brood Keeper
Err.. I don't know.. Kind of filler? I thought like "hey, this is kind of heroic-ish, right?" And since I also wanted to force Utvara Hellkite in here for some Timmy-esque reason, I figured it could be a little sprinkle of uncalled-for synergy.

Galvanic Juggernaut
The card I built the deck around.

Ogre Battledriver
Just an ungodly amazing card.

Stormbreath Dragon
Another insanely good card, that can sometimes win a game by himself.

Burning Anger
The second element the deck is built around, in addition to the Juggernaut. If you get it out on a Galvanic Juggernaut, you're almost always going to win. Unless your opponent has a bunch of X/6< creatures, you have no other way of killing even your own creatures, and you can't find a Lightning Talons.

Rune-Scarred Demon
Le tutor-demon. Should need no explanation. He might be a bit expensive in a deck that kind of tries to be kind of aggro-ish-like? But he will increase your chances of assembling the Burning Juggernaut, something that will always result in a very satisfying erection.

Utvara Hellkite
Mehh. This doesn't fit here, does it? It's kind of a joke. This should have been Inferno Titan, if anything. Guess it has a tinsy bit of unwarranted synergy with Brood Keeper and Stormbreath Dragon, but.. I mean.. You will never be able to cast him... Well, he's still in my deck, so I'm just including him here.. But probably going to replace him with Inferno Titan the next time I log on. Likewise, I will probably replace the Brood Keepers with maybe Goblin Rabblemaster or Cunning Sparkmage.

Cards to consider:
Coordinated Assault
Probably a must here?

Goblin Rabblemaster
Another token factory for the Blasting Station Could definitely be great.

So, any thoughts? Suggestions? All feedback is much appreciated! I realize it does pull in a few different directions.. I'd still like the Burning Juggernaut to be the main theme of the deck, but not sure if the enchantment-heavy wannabe-heroic sub-theme is the best supporting shell for it? Maybe a Jund devour/scavenger-deck could be a better fit? Hmm.. Now I gotta try that lol

what a pile! How many matches do you do in a week? 6? 7? I will predict it goes 0-7. It will even lose to a 80+ card deck this week.

I was gonna say, "man, that deck is pretty reliant on Kalastria as a nice quick win-con with sac creatures" but then I noticed you're barely playing any vampires to trigger her!

YUCK!

Anyway, i can't wait to watch the vids to see if you rage at all

also, i love you

So here is my vampire build...

[manapie 90 -w -u b r -g][/manapie]

Goblin Tribute

A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (24 :creature: , 12 :instant: , 24 :land:)

Color 20 cards
■■■■
Deviant Glee
■■■■
Guul Draz Vampire1/1
■■
Bloodghast2/1
■■
Kalastria Highborn2/2
■■■
Tribute to Hunger
■■■
Cutthroat Maneuver
■■
Graveborn Muse3/3
Color 16 cards
■■■■
Bloodcrazed Neonate2/1
■■
Goblin Rabblemaster2/2
■■■
Rakish Heir2/2
■■
Ogre Battledriver3/3
■■
Burning Anger
Stormbreath Dragon4/4
■■
Wrecking Ogre3/3
Colorless24 cards
■■
Crumbling Necropolis
■■■■
Rakdos Guildgate
■■■
Savage Lands
4
Mountain
11
Swamp

I built this one a while back, and have had some fun playing it. Deviant Glee really solves the majority of trouble with vampire decks, because it allows you to pay for trample, and really stops chumping. It really allows you to unleash the potential of Bloodcrazed Neonates, and turns them into playable cards. Cutthroat Maneuver similarly allows you to surprise your opponent and win otherwise chumping situations.

This is not the most powerful deck ever, but if you were looking to play vampires with some chance of success this may be the deck for you.

All of that said, later today I will be shifting this deck over to a Rackdos Aggro build. I won't update this list, but I will post a different build that shares many of the same cards and underlying concepts (e.g.: it will still be vampires primarily).

Disclaimer: the land is probably unnecessarily conservative, feel free to adjust if it's causing you troubles.
