I don't see a reason to take anything over the crackling triton here.

Opaline Unicorn

Ephara's Warden
Dark Betrayal
Lagonna-Band Elder
Forest

So either white is open, or people are pairing a lot of black or green with their white.

Green is most assuredly not open if the piper was taken.

I guess we either start in with one of the white cards or keep options open with the artifacts. Is the tapper viable/good in this format? Seems like a rather weak variant.

The tapper is garbage. There are so many other things you want to do with 4 mana.

I'm down for the helm. It won me game day.

Unicorn. We'll likely end with a 3-colour deck at this point, so this could be a very good card for us.

I don't see how you can concluded that white is open. Lagonna-Band Elder is an extremely average card, and the warden is nigh useless.

Taken out of this pack:
Carytid (us)
Naiad
Baleful Eidolen
Lash of the Whip
Akroan Crusader (?!)
Scorpion
Savage Surge
Satyr Piper

The fact that no green wheeled sort of explains why we don't have any green. (I guess everyone else already pointed this out, but it was useful for me to work it out for myself) Probably won't get to play carytid unless some really good green cards come up early in P2.

I guess helm because we are least likely to see another one. All 3 cards (Elder, Unicorn, Helm) are a little underwhelming.

What's surprising about Akroan Crusader being taken? It's a pretty solid player in the red heroic deck.

Unicorns are cool! Opaline Unicorn is the pick you made. Update in a few minutes.

P10 P1: what wheeled and what didn't 2: The annoying sequel

Fleshmad Steed
Unknown Shores
Crackling Triton
Coastline Chimera
Minotaur Skullcleaver
Plains

Ok, I was replaced in the draft by someone else, so I can be partial now!
Erm... in my experience skullcleaver is a pretty good card, better then for example the Centaurs that didn't wheel. And yes, blue is wide open (not particularly because of this pack, but we've taken both blue cards before now)

Well, I think it's pretty obvious we're going Blue/Red now. It's what's most open & what fits our deck most.

Crackling Triton I think remains the best pick here. Minotaur's haste and +2/+0 is super-fine, and is a good card still, but threatening 2 damage over the head at all times is useful, and the 3rd point of toughness isn't irrelevant against both Magma Jet and Pharika's Cure.
