Can we get an NGA Constructed tag similar to [Standard]?
Done.
Could we get a twenty-mana mana symbol, as seen on
Spawnsire of Ulamog?
or
.
Could there be a user field (like name, post, location, identity etc) that could be used to hotlink to artist credit (without displaying the entire url)? I don't want to use my signature for it, because muh aesthetics.
I'm just bumping this, because I expect it got lost in another discussion. I'd imagine something like:
Quote:
Not entirely sure on the tag. Avatar/image source/credit?
Ah, sorry for missing this. URLs (or any other non-plain-text things) aren't supported natively in custom profile fields and I haven't looked at what it would take to make that work, but I suppose I could. Alternatively, URL profile fields are apparently included with the latest version of phpbb, so it's
probably better to look into getting us actually up-to-date.
Hm, this reminds me, at some point we should probably talk about making it possible to just embed NGAC cards in the wiki... it'll make the work I did creating a card template for the wiki pointless but I think in time my broken heart will mend.
It shouldn't be too bad... view_card.php?name=<name>&view=render spits out html for the (admittedly-simplistic) render of <name>, so that's easily available. Not sure how the wiki side of things works though.
Would it be possible to have custom, on-the-fly NGA autocard tags? So we could add some parameters to a tag which would generate a card link that looks like a NGA autocard?
Something like:
[newcard=Black Lotus, 0, Artifact, T, Sacrifice Black Lotus: Add three mana of any one colour to your mana pool.]Black Lotus[/newcard]
This is a thing that could happen, sure. It'll have to be somewhat limited, though -- in particular, I don't know how cards with multiple lines of rules text would work. (Amusingly, this means
Warp World would be easier to do than
Ainok Tracker.)
there's no smilie for crying tears of joy why is that
it's a little hard to tell but this guy is actually pretty happy:
Wait, if the person who pays for the forum disappeared, who the heck pays for the forum?
That would be me.
wait really? that's awesome of you. is there any thought to putting together some crowdfunding for it? I don't know how much I can personally throw in as I am, as the kids say, unemployed at the moment, but given that I spend about 30 hours a day here I'd be happy to chip in a little and I'm sure others would too. obviously should be optional, and probably shouldn't be super-advertised so people don't feel like they have to if they can't/don't want to, but might help spread the burden out a little bit.
It's surprisingly cheap to fund this place, and I have a reasonably well-paying job. But I appreciate the thought!
