Mm, yeah, Luna, I don't think it was totally clear that the point you raised was a different point than the point razorborne was making.
I think what Luna is saying specifically is "iLands can't just say buhnuhnuh* knows that there's 10 people interested, buhnuhnuh needs to actually get those people to show up and post here to prove they're interested."
Which is a thing I can agree with. So I think me, Luna, and razorborne are probably all united in thinking demonstrable interest in the form of a roll call is the best first step here. (And sorry if I'm overexplaining things at this point--I just wanted to double check that we ARE all roughly on the same page)
Hm, I wonder if this would be a space for discussion of Twitch Plays Pokemon as well
One big question I have as well is how does this fit with our (admittedly still somewhat unformed) plans of making this a creativity-centered forum? Like, that was an original goal, and various people and groups have done a LOT to actualize that goal in the form of projects like, most notably, NGA Constructed... how does Pokemon fit into this? What would make this board more attractive to Pokemon fan artists and so on than, say, Tumblr is?
*If people are going to put nonstandard things in their preferred pronouns box I'm gonna assume they're serious. [shrug]
That is definitely what I'm saying. I don't necessarily think we need to have 10+ people all come up here to the Metaboard and say "yes, I'd like very much for this to be a thing", but at least be able to make a link and say "these 10+ people all show up in these {let's choose an arbitrary number here} 5 threads and they're interested in seriously talking about Pokémon, so let's have our own board".
Also, is Twitch Plays Pokémon still a thing? I was never able to watch due to slow internet and by the time I even knew it existed it was already dying out while whichever one of the 3rd gen games was being played.
