One of the best board games ever. My dads fave non wargame board game, and one of the first I ever played, after chess.

Anyone else play this? My copy is older than I am, so I'm not sure how played it is.

The categories listed for it on bgg sounds fairly unappealing, but then again, CitoW is the only game I have where you decide any outcome with dice.

have you played any Gipf project games? they are some really good abstract strategy games (which it seems like you'd like). if not, I'd definitely recommend them

Aside from the fact that I need to slow down my game purchasing, I'm not really that big on abstracts. I like having mechanics that interact, and you don't really get card combos in abstract games.
