Oh! And I totally forgot to mention. We will be using the cooperative world building idea. In other words you are free to create anything you like as long as there is no mechanical benefit (from the story standpoint) to your character from what you created. For example, you wish your character to start the adventure at a whorehouse right beside the tavern I created, The Full Wagon, go for it. You can even create NPCs and RP your interaction with them if you want (remember that they speak in black). Sometimes if they are good enough I will even steal them for my use. And if you create something that I feel wrong, don't worry, I will correct your post and proceed the story, making some kind of warning that there is a correction into that post.

Nice post!

I will try to reply tomorrow, but I am still waiting for Tequila before advancing. If I did not say it before, I have restricted internet access on Mondays.

Just checking in, but should I go and post as the new character coming in or am I to wait approval?

No need to wait. I already introduced him at my last post. Maybe I should have make it more obvious.

Have a bad habit of just skimming through text and missing the obvious. Tend to miss the obvious a bit in real life as well... Anyways on to the rolls.

For Welker One-Tusk:

The Emporess:
Shockwave07 rolled 2d6 and got a total of 11:
6, 5

The Lich King:
Shockwave07 rolled 1d6 and got a total of 4:
4

Also should I roll for Grogash as well?

Edi:t figure might as well roll just in case to save time.

Grogash

The Emporess:
Shockwave07 rolled 2d6 and got a total of 11:
6, 5

The Lich King:
Shockwave07 rolled 1d6 and got a total of 1:
1

Just a little explanation about the Dragon Empire.

Image

Most areas are inhabited by humans. Humans are the most common population of the empire, specially at the center and south areas of the map. Humans are the great majority at the south and west borders of Midland Sea.

At the nothwest, dwarves are much more common, majority at some places especially at the city of Forge (almost 100% of dwarves) and the outpost of Anvil.

At the northeast, elves are much more common, majority at some places especially at the city of Concord (50% are elves, 25% dwarves, 5% humans).

Half-orcs are uncommon everywhere, more common at non-urbanized areas at the border of the empire. More or less the same for dragonborns, drows and other less common races, biggest concentration of them are at Drakkenhall. But Drakenhall is the monster place, where almost any race (including monsters) can be found from orcs to dragons.

PS: My portable computer cable is busted. I already ordered a new one, but it will take sometime to arrive.

I hope that whorehouse has something other than dwarfs, not because I didn't think that was possible, but because I don't know if that can survive as a business. :D

I am tired today to post anything, so I hope that tomorrow I had something.

And to prevent my character from acting purposely against the party or facilitating too. I will throw a dice every time he has the chance to sway the story with a opinion or an act. With 25% of making a good act or suggestion for the party, 50% of being neutral and 25% of being a negative action. But I will roll that dice privately, so you will never know when he is doing something right or wrong.

I thought about creating some little scenes during the trip, so we could develop the characters without wasting too many time. Do you want me to change for a faster or slower approach?

Go ahead. As long as there is something to react to in character I don't mind things going as they are. also curious as to what John/Ludwig's thoughts are on what happened earlier. More thinking we're little better than cavemen? Plus if you want to throw in an interesting encounter with some friendly travelers, now would be the time.

He already thinks everyone is inferior, being reduced from cockroach to fruit fly, doesn't make a lot of difference.

The advantage of this mode is we can later flashback to any scene you want to RP better.

Plus if you want to throw in an interesting encounter with some friendly travelers, now would be the time.

Don't spoil the moment! I had one planned already, but I was building momentum for it.

You will know when Ludwig is talking, because he will use a formal language, while John will use an informal and bad language. I will always refer to the character as John, regardless of who is piloting him at the moment since it is his body. Just for you to know and don't cause more confusion than necessary.

That sound like a good thing for me to watch out for as far as telling the difference in personalities in John go.

Edit: Would you allow for me to make a perception roll before the battle starts?

I should have described the trail. Sorry.

But it won't be necessary depending of the purpose. There are no formal rules for surprise at 13th age. The only rule is: if it feels right, it is right. I named this encounter: Totally Unfair Ambush. So it is easy to see what is right here.

And you can move both characters at the same initiative count. Next time just roll once.

Goblins:
True_Believer rolled 1d20 and got a total of 9:
9

Others:
True_Believer rolled 1d20 and got a total of 7:
7

If Welker's roll hits that will be a nice 20 damage to the first target. Don't know if this first goblin will fall, but if it does could activate cleave.

And Grogash likely missed, but still gets miss damage from Precision Striking and Heavy Blows. How do you want to handle miss damage? Since its 1d6 plus the escalation dice why not take the first of the two dice of my damage rolls whenever it does come up? Or do you want to handle it differently?

First dice is good enough for me.

The goblins are a mook which is the equivalent of minions at 4th ed, but they work differently. You only kill a mook when you kill all creatures from it.

Also I noticed that your damage is too high (it should be +5), but your dice is too low (it should be d8 for a long sword).

Also you are interpreting wrong heavy blows and grim intent. You would add escalation dice for this miss, but escalation dice is zero now. And Grim Intent, you accumulates for the next miss, whenever it occurs.

Text below:
Effect: The next time you would deal miss damage with a melee attack, add a WEAPON die to that damage. At 5th level, instead add 2 total WEAPON dice; at 8th level, instead add 3 total WEAPON dice.
