See in his comrade fall, Sai curses, but remains caught. He draws a second heavy blade, deciding that live or die, he will not come out of this battle with clean steel.

Sai Yun slashes wildly with his kukri knives as the goengsi draws him close again. One cuts deeply across its left arm, which oozes a few drops of a thick ichor and stops. The other misses. And the goengsi breathes in.

Chen Wu extracts himself from the goengsi's grip, quickly aims, and then fires off his pistol. The bullet explodes into a chilling energy upon piercing the body of the vampire holding the recently revived Liu Xin. The rogue can see frost creep along the vampire's skin, the green mold flaking off as it dies in the cold.

Sai Yun, make a DC 13 Constitution check.
Sai Yun is now at 5 HP.
Goengsi 4 was dealt 7 damage and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of Chen Wu's next turn.

It is now Liu Xin's turn.

As Liu Xin recovers from his brief faint, he renews his efforts to afix the tag to the corspes horrible face.

"Someone find that other damned tag, or least help me get this thing on it."

Liu Xin attempts to wrestle the corpse further into the room as he says this.

Liu Xin again misses his attacker, who then moves in for another attempt to steal his breath. The rogue dodges the attack.

Sai Yun succeeds on his Constitution check.

It is now Wu Hon Yin's turn.

"Chen! Go help Liu! We waste too much time as is!" Hon Yin refocuses his attacks, launching a flurry of strikes against the Goengsi attacking Sai Yun.

Hon Yin's spear repeatedly tears through the goengsi's body, leaving it ragged.

Goengsi 3 was dealt 15 damage. It has lost at least half of its HP.

It is now Sai Yun's turn.

Sai says nothing, but continues to fight, having decided that the best way out is through.

Sai Yun's kukri make deep cuts on the goengsi's torso, widening the wounds made by Hon Yin's spear, and the bodily integrity of the goengsi finally crumbles. The vampire collapses forward, in on itself, releasing its grip on the paladin.

Chen Wu fires off another shot of cold energy at the goengsi grappling Liu Xin even as the frost fades from the vampire's skin.

Goengsi 3 was dealt 5 damage and is destroyed.
Goengsi 4 was dealt 4 damage and has lost at least 50% of its HP.

It is now Liu Xin's turn.

Liu Xin begins to unleash a stream of curses at the Corpse.

Liu Xin finally slams the tag onto the goengsi's face, and it immediately freezes in place. The rogue wrenches free of the vampire.

With the last of the goengsi stilled, the room becomes quiet again but for the heavy breathing of the living and the quiet whistle of the wind passing through the hidden pass. The lantern hanging from the statue of the First Emperor sways lightly.

Goengsi 4 is now stunned.

Sai looks at his fellows and asks, "Is everyone able to move? How badly we hurt?"

Liu Xin does his best to dust himself off as he looked around the room.

"I can walk, and we don't have a lot of time."

Liu Xin stoops to pick up his dagger and returns to take his lantern from the statue.

"What were those tags. Do you think they work on any undead?"

Liu Xin walked over and picked it up before heading to the opening and examining it.

"Sealing and purification tags. Part of an old ritual for moving bodies around. I'm not sure if they'll work on other bodies - though I guess it can't hurt to find out." As he talks Hon Yin returns to where he dropped the chest and scoops it back into his arms. Having gathered the coin he moves closer to the entrance of the secret tunnel and inspects it's workings. "Bring a light here would you Liu? We may be able to seal this as we leave."

Sai steps ahead to scout the exit, his blades still drawn.

He nods to Hon Yin.

"I owe you one."

Hon Yin smiles back at Sai. "You don't owe me anything friend. If we kept track of who owed who what we'd all be in debt to each other a thousand times over." Standing up from where he was inspecting the wall he takes a moment to look at his hand before proceeding to push it through the solid stone. "Huh. Well that's interesting. I believe I have found out way out."

Sai says, "Then let's waste know time. I'll move ahead. Count to ten and follow. I'll whistle if there's a problem."

He then uses his blade to probe the opening before stepping through, crouching down and moving forward.
