@shrimp,

Galio is in the bottom 10 champs right now. As in, across all players he is one of the 10 worst performers. His kit is really really bad, especially if you are going into random queue.

Edit: Rereading his kit, it isn't as bad as I thought it was, but he still IS one of the top 10 worst performing champs in the game.

are you just basing this on popularity? (looking at lolking he is the third least popular champion, but his winrate is pretty much in the middle). if so I'd just blame that on league players having bad taste. the 10 least popular are all pretty fun except for yorick

I like Gragas, Urgot, and Maokai a lot. They are all on that list. Urgot has always been on that list.

@shrimp, Srry. Seems I got confused there.

I personally still do not like the champion.

:( Tried to play Janna in a couple of games.

She can't get creep score because your teammates won't let you after the laning phase is over. Basically put, she's always understatted for her level. This means that if you don't grab spellthief's edge or that coin thing at the beginning of the game, you are going to be behind for...... well like forever.

Evelynn - In theory, this champion is really cool. In reality, I have problems with getting her to do enough damage to warrant running her, despite one of the coolest passives in the game.
And I'm not that inclined tbh.

Evelynn can do an insane amount of damage and unleash completely devastating ganks if played correctly. In most of the games I play as her, I do somewhere from the 1st to 3rd most damage on the team to enemy champions. Her main weakness is that her early game clears are absolutely terrible and she takes a lot of damage from the jungle as a result, but when she shows up to gank she's absolutely terrifying against an unprepared team.

When playing her you have to take advantage of the enemy team's psychology (the false security that they get from wards) and position yourself behind the enemy when possible. By flanking the enemy, you can either force a flash or get a kill a lot of the time, even pre-6 if you have chilling smite and a teammate who can help follow up. Eve really shines when she's got her ult though and is capable of either picking a squishy target and 100-to-0-ing them or initiating a teamfight from behind and letting her team clean up.

:( Since season 5, the jungle's gotten too hard for me to want to run her. As stated, she has quite a bit of trouble clearing, and I just don't want to bother with it.

I've never seen her do a lot of damage.... but I'll take your word for it.

I think the S5 jungle is easier than the previous jungles. I know the camps are harder, but the rework to jungling items and the jungle buffs make the jungle a lot more palatable.

Try the new Nemesis mode yet? It's pretty fun.

The season 5 jungle is significantly harder to start off in, which pushes a lot of psuedo-competitive junglers out. It also has longer clear times even with the new jungle times, which makes some junglers less efficient. Basically..... it's harder at the point in time where the difficulty of the thing matters.

I have not played nemesis yet due to workload, but I will later tonight. Looking forward to going in with the number of champs I have since I get to pick from MY team's combined pool :).

First game I was jungle Elise. AD Braum and Teemo bot. Karma mid, and Singed top. The enemy team actually gave us a pretty good team and it was a stomp all the way through. Their team was Janna, Naut, Azir, Nami, and Shen.

Second game I was Leona mid. We had Evelyn jungle and Trundle top. Taric and Braum bot lane. Our bot lane did bad vs their Kennen and Janna, I'm really not sure why we gave them Kennen. I stomped Azir, Trundle stomped Nami, and our jungler did well. Early fights were a bit rough because they had so much disengage and we couldn't position our team right. Late game through it all came together and we just ripped them apart one by one in the fights without any of our people dying.

I think it is a bit dumb to give the enemy an ADC. Maybe giving them all ADC's that can't be built hybrid and also don't have CC might be a good idea, but never give the enemy team just one ADC. People do this sometimes and I think it is really bad. Count Urgot as an ADC too.

I think I'm done with it.

My teammates keep making the dumbest picks ever which realistically ruins the game. Who gives Galio against an all squishy AP team?

I'm 3 for 3 with Karthus tonight. SKITTLES.

Top lane vs riven is hilarious. It's the eternal struggle that goes absolutely nowhere after level 3.

I think my two favorite champs to give the enemy Thesh and Janna since they aren't strong tanks or carries, they are fairly pure supports. Other then those two if you give your enemy a lot of low damage champs without huge ultimates they won't be able to teamfight or splitpush. Nunu and Shaco are also good choices I think since Nunu has lowish damage and Shaco isn't great in teamfights.

Any champ, in a mode where they all "suck" can do reasonable amounts of damage within context.

The real strategy behind Nemesis Draft is to pick someone you think someone won't know how to use and won't be able to learn quickly.

Don't know how to use: Basically don't pick something where anyone is likely to know how to use it on the opposing team. I see a lot of champs picked where it's highly obvious that even though it's "bad" someone will be able to trade for it and know what they are doing. Case in point: Annie. How many random groups of 5 people don't have at least one person who could play a decent enough Annie?

Can't Learn Quickly: Read Lulu's abilities. Then tell me where the learning curve is. I don't see it. Then read Braum's abilities. Granted, someone might be likely to main Braum but if they don't he is certainly harder to learn. Effectively, DONT GIVE THEM SOMEONE LIKE ASHE THAT A MONKEY COULD PILOT.

Sorry. :( Went a little over board there. But that's effectively what people do. I'm now so good with Taric I was able to take him into a normal game and do well.

Avoiding carries completely is a pretty safe thing to do. Annie and ashe both deal high amounts of damage when built with a little ad or ap.

Picking champions that are both unpopular and complicated (meaning people won't know how to play them and will suck because of that) is probably a very effective strategy, I agree with you there. Azir is a great pick if you're aiming for that. Azir is a carry but he falls totally flat if the person playing him doesn't know what they're doing.

You should also coordinate picks, a single champ can cover an otherwise worthless teams weakness, so its important to pick with the enemies team comp in mind, this is why I'd never want to play nemesis with randoms.

We got destroyed by a thresh adc today, I guess we ran into the one in a hundred that actually knew how to play it.
