Here's my version of a mono green aggro deck with a decent curve. I tried doing a straight elf-aggro deck, but it wasn't going so well. Maybe others will have better luck. I'm using a mixture of elves and wolves with the highest mana drop being at 5.

-- 22forest

1 drops:
- 3primal bellow
- 4spire tracer
- 4young wolf

2 drops:
- 4elvish visionary
- 4wandering wolf

3 drops:
- 2beastmaster ascension
- 3reclamation sage
- 4timberwatch elf

4 drops:
- 2elvish admirers
- 3paragon of eternal wilds
- 2hall of triumph

5 drops:
- 3raised by wolves

I don't think the Hall and Paragon are very useful here. They're generally more useful if you're running a *lot* of cheap creatures.
I get that the trample effect of the paragon is nice to give to Arbor Colossus and Genesis Hydra. You can also get trample by going the Prowess route, which adds card draw and a small power boost.
Other than that, you could include reclamation sage or mold shambler to deal with enchantments. I like mold shambler's versatility and the fact that it triggers packleader, but it can be late to the party if some heroic jerk is crashing it ;)

thanks for the reply

I have never been disappointed with the stat boosters however I will try your suggestions and who knows the deck may run smoother

I just got the new cards today so Kozi will be replaced with Craterhoof

Wolves!!

Edit: After playing some games online I found Beastmasters Ascension to be too slow and Prey Upon to unreliable as removal. Decided to take the deck into Gruul. Will post the list over there.

DLC updated deck. This is an interesting one as I've taken out the Black and turned it Mono-Green as a test.

Double Trouble

A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (24 :creature: , 13 :instant: , 23 :land:)

Cost 7 cards
■■■■
Young Wolf1/1
■■■
Primal Bellow
Cost 7 cards
■■■
Jade Mage2/1
■■■■
Satyr Wayfinder1/1
Cost 4 cards
■■■■

Cost 3 cards

Nessian Asp4/5
■■

Hunter's Prowess
■■
Raised by Wolves
Cost 1 card
Soul of Zendikar6/6
Cost 2 cards
■■
Genesis Hydra0/0
Land23 cards

The core of the deck is Doubling Season, but it is also complimented heavily by the Paragon of Eternal Wilds. The deck is based around creating lots of tokens with DS, but also doubling counters on permanents such as Young Wolf and Arbor Colossus. The Paragon not only gives +1/+1 to token swarms, but can give these huge Green creatures Trample - an ability that's lacking in D15, and very difficult to deal with effectively.

For example, one DS will also quadruple a Mycoloth's token production as it doubles the counters for Devour, then the creatures produced. With two DS in play, just eating 4 creatures will produce 96 Saprolings the following turn! But even with smaller Devours, DS helps production and growth, while the Paragon exploits it by boosting tokens and giving larger creatures trample, creating a great synergy between the cards.

The only DLC card here is Raised by Wolves, which like the Asp to the Nemesis, is simply a poor man's Spider Spawning. Likewise, Nessian Asp is not great, and I'd probably have prefered Nemesis of Mortals, but mono-Green is weak to fliers, so I need Reach. Though mono-Green, both Spawn and Nemesis are better in Golgari decks, so I substituted them for weaker cards that had greater reliability for me.

Raised by Wolves does have a minor upside here however with Young Wolves. Not great, but is at least reliable enough to give me creatures in situations Spawning sometimes couldn't, which is important. With DS, it also grows a creature to make it another Trample threat with Paragon. The deck has long needed a retool, and while this is the least crucial card in the deck by a decent margin, it was enough to push me over the edge into mono-Green, which I'd been considering for a long time.

Unlike my other DLC updates, this is still subject to a little tweaking and testing as the change it's gone under has been much greater than the others, so may still get a few minor changes. I may even go back to Black. It all depends on how reliable the deck is in comparison.

---

In the Golgari version, it previously contained Spider Spawning and Nemesis of Mortals, however with only Satyr Wayfinder to fuel the graveyard, and cards such as Young Wolf resisting filling it, and Jade Mage producing tokens that can't, they were occasionally dead cards that while could win the game in amazing fashion should they combo, didn't gel at crucial moments a lot of the time. The graveyard subtheme was very powerful, but not consistent enough, so I had to remove it, as it wasn't central to what the deck was trying to do anyway (abuse Doubling Season).

That left me with just Quest for the Gravelord truly justifying Black, which while genuinely a great card in the deck (1 death = 4 x 5/5 Zombies!?), didn't justify a second colour alone. Especially since going mono would give me access to the truly powerful Primal Bellow, which has even better utility in token producing and trampling decks.

So, I'm finding mono-Green to easy to disrupt, so on a tour of the other colours, I've found Red works best with this, purely by splashing for Shocks and Ground Assaults.

It's a much better deck, however IMO it strips all the character out of it, and takes away from the theme. Rather than being capable of funny moments like splitting a Gravelord to generate 4 x 5/5 Zombies, or kicking out 50 Spiders in a turn, it's simply an efficient and well-rounded deck in the colours I dislike the most - Gruul.

Think I may just take it back to Black and have it as a pretty inconsistent, yet powerful and thematic Golgari deck.

Hello everyone I am new to NGA my friend Megabeast37215 said to check out this site so here I am. Anyways I have been playing around with a deck like this for a while with various different forms this what I made today anyways.
[manapie 90 -w -u -b -r g][/manapie]

Green Evasion Buff

A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (25 :creature: , 12 :instant: , 23 :land:)

Creature25 cards
■■■■
Spire Tracer1/1
■■■■
Elvish Visionary1/1
■■■■
Wandering Wolf2/1
■■■
Aura Gnarlid2/2
■■■■
Timberwatch Elf1/2
■■
Masked Admirers3/2
■■■
Paragon of Eternal Wilds2/2
Vengevine4/3
Spell12 cards
■■■
Primal Bellow
■■■■
Titanic Growth
Hall of Triumph
■■
Hunter's Prowess
■■
Mischief and Mayhem
Land23 cards
23
Forest

I think the deck is pretty self explanatory get spire tracer or wandering wolves on the board and smash opponents health and out race them. I would love some feedback on this deck on how to make it better it certainly can hit you hard and fast but it has no removal other than combat tricks, and I want to use those to swing for big Unblocked damage.

How has Mischief and Mayhem been? I've never used that spell.. seems like it could be good with all the unblockability.

With the unblockabilty it is pretty nasty, probably a finisher in some games. If I can cast it uninterrupted it turns lets say two Spire Tracers into 5/5's or the better option of the wandering wolves into 6/5's making only bombs able to block. I have also cast it on some of my non evasion creatures to hammer in as removal since I used my Timberwatch Elf's to pump the evasion creatures.

I'm not entirely sure about Aura Gnarlid since I don't see any Aura's in the deck therefore unsure how it would get to unblockable status (I'm assuming that's why it was included?). Seems to me that you could consider some other alternative there (maybe a Reclamation Sage for utility removal and for adding more elves)?

This is very similar to a few elf builds I've been brewing (so I definitely can say I like where you're coming from) and it's headed into the marrying of the wolf and elf tribal theme that Hakeem talked about. I may drop Titanic Growth and Mischief and Mayhem for Young Wolf and Raised by Wolves and start testing the Elves with pets theme. Hmmmm.

I can say that the full on Wolf tribal deck I posted over in the Selesnya thread is very solid in its own right.

I could maybe suggest starting there? I already runs Spire Tracer and I could see slipping some other elves in there easily enough.

I only use the Aura Gnarlid for a back up evasion creature it doesn't need an aura to get unblockable just the buff from a spell or timberwatch tap, I have thought about the Reclamation Sage it does add more elves and enchant removal. I think swapping the Mischief and Mayhem's for the Raised by Wolves is actually a pretty good idea it has a longer lasting effect, I really like the Titanic growths so I am unsure how to get more young wolves.

Edit: also If someone could teach me how to link cards I would appreciate that.

Well that was a glaring oversight on my part with Gnarlid. Too much association with Auras!

Yeah many people overlook that. I ran him in my old mono green beast deck long ago with NO AURAS and he was still a massive tool there.

Does fog work against anger of the gods? I'm guessing it doesn't since it says "combat" damage, but I thought I'd ask anyways.
